Marvel is ingenious. To take some of the most prominently known actors in Wuxia cinema from two of the most well known wuxia films internationally is crazy… Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon’s Yu Shu Lien (Michelle Yeoh) and Hero’s Broken Sword (Tony Leung) in the same film. The parallels are just transcendent, right down to using the same color theory. They even referenced Oldboy in the same movie. It’s kind of crazy how this is almost like watching two films in one because Shang-Chi is of both worlds as well, both figuratively considering his parentage and literally from living in both China and America.
This is one of the variants form Everything everywhere movie.
