Trigger…I feel her pain…bus driver should be held accountable!!! Other kids should be held accountable!!! Parents should be held accountable!!! In my world it would be brutal retaliation at its worst!!! Bullies have scared the very sole of many of us and worse are the enablers!!!
Absolutely heartbreaking, I’m nearly in tears, how can you have a school bus full of special needs children with no adult supervision.
The statement from the superintendent was so copy/pasted its not even fit. But as far as blame goes, that’s 100% on the bus driver. I dont know about Green Bay but where I work all bus drivers dealing with special needs have specific training pertaining to this type of scenario. Also all of the special needs drivers I’ve met are patient and sympathetic people, those are pretty much required traits for that line of work.

There should be an other adult, maybe even 2 on a special needs bus. Not just the driver. The driver doesn’t need to get distracted. So rather than blame the driver 100 % here, blame the school district for not putting another adult on the bus. I hope the family was compensated and there ARE other adults on the bus now.
The parents’ LAWYER needs to see that video . And then they need to SUE EVERYONE INTO OBLIVION . Period . And if the BITING kid does this as a habit they need to not be in any public school .

There is no excuse for the way this child was treated. The bus driver, parents of the biter, and school officals need to be held accountable for extreme child abuse.
My school couldnt afford new buses so some kids had to ride on former special needs buses. Safe to say: those things are death traps. The bus had an operational wheelchair lift in the back but it was so loud when the bus was in motion that even if two people were trying to stab one another to death, you would not be able to hear them. The seats were also terrible and the bus turned into a bounce castle on even the slightest bump.
