Woman says heavenly scents from oils mentioned in Bible help with healing

CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A local woman says, in her toughest times, she turned to a little “heavenly help.”

They’ve been called the oils of the Bible. They are essential oils as we know them that appear to be first mentioned in scripture.

Just a few months ago when Becky Brunner’s husband Greg was blessed with a living kidney donor, she said she needed to believe that God would help him heal. She claims to have found that belief in a bottle.

She and her good friend Harriet Thompson began to explore what she called “The oils of the Bible.”

“God made them starting in the Garden of Eden, and he made it that they are the life blood of the plants,” said Brunner.

Bruner said that every day since her husband’s surgery, she has turned to scripture and scents to help. These oils of the Bible are heavenly scents in a bottle placed on the skin or in a diffuser to be dispersed in the air.

They come collectively in bottles as they are referenced in scripture. Oils like onica, rose of Sharon and cypress can all be found in Bible verses.

Two workshops will be held at the Kenton County Library on Sept. 26 at 1 p.m. The second one will be Sept. 27 at 6:30 p.m.

Brunner said it’s pretty clear that these oils stand the test of tough times.
