We saw so many Kung Fu Weapons in Pingyao Ancient City | Doug Swift Loves Kung Fu
Pingyao Town in Shanxi has been on my bucket list for ages, so we decided to skive a day of Kung Fu training and jump on a train and have a look around for a few days. Of course we made a beeline for the Kung Fu related places. We saw so many Kung Fu Weapons in Pingyao Ancient City. Please remember to hit the subscribe button http://bit.ly/morekungfuplease
First we had a good look round the Martial Arts / Kung Fu Museum which had loads of signs we couldn’t read but most importantly loads of Kung Fu Weapons including an enormous Guan Dao. The museum also have an original kung fu training ground used by the armed escorts that were all over Pingyao, helping to transport money from city to city.
Secondly we visited a Kung Gu Weapons Shop that had some of the best Kung Fu Weapons I have ever seen in my life. The blacksmith was a local who had a forge nearby. An unbelievable selection of swords. Finally we went to the armed escort museum for more weapons and training grounds.
It was an amazing city, massive mud wall surrounding it and so many ancient buildings. One more place ticked off the ever growing list of places to visit in China.
