  8. Michael Reynolds on February 13, 2022 at 11:05 pm

  9. Thomas Wills on February 13, 2022 at 11:07 pm

I would like to know more about the not so expensive gemologist tool for testing each stone and crystal.

  10. LifeAddict on February 13, 2022 at 11:10 pm

Soak it in nail polish remover or acetone. If color comes off then it’s dyed lower quality. If not then it’s real

  11. Armando Vega on February 13, 2022 at 11:11 pm

Oh dear that’s a beautiful lapis lazuli specimen

  12. Gaia Chavez on February 13, 2022 at 11:14 pm

Please change the black background..it’s distracting.

  13. MFisher Antonio on February 13, 2022 at 11:16 pm

You’re glasses match the lapis really well. Yes plants. Soften the background and lighten it. Box- maybe a lighter gray with sparkle.

  14. Brian Hudson on February 13, 2022 at 11:16 pm

SO glad she is gone. She would just not shut up. If you are a gemologist and have trouble separating sodalite from lapis you need to flip burgers.

imagine if she spilled water on the lapis lazuli,

then touched the water and didn’t wash her hands.

  17. Brandie Child on February 13, 2022 at 11:19 pm

You should make the background a colage of pictures of gems

As a gem cutter, Lapis is fairly easy to work with. It has hard/soft areas that can cause polishing issues. My problem is,, After working with it. Whenever you cut ANY stone, you get water mist in the air. No way around it. However the mist holds dust particles of whatever you’re cutting. After cutting Lapis, I find my hands turn pale blue, just from handling "anything" in my shop. It takes extra cleaning, and time, to go away. I love lapis. It’s the reason I made a partitioned room to keep my Cabbing machine in. All faceting and final polishing is in a "clean" room. The last thing you want on a 100,000 grit final polish, is a 320 grit particle of anything, on your "lap". Fun fact. We get the word (Lapidary) due to Lapis. "Someone that works in Lapis"

  29. Connie H on February 13, 2022 at 11:41 pm

Lapis always makes me think of King Tut. By the way I love your channel I’m having a lot of fun watching it!

  30. hybridgoth on February 13, 2022 at 11:41 pm

While lapis is opaque, high quality lazurite is often translucent to transparent in thin sections.
Unfortunately, most of the stones labelled lazurite for sale online are lapis lazuli not lazurite. It’s a shame because lazurite is such a beautiful gem itself and deserves to be appreciated as such.

  31. Dio Brando on February 13, 2022 at 11:42 pm

Fun fact:lapis could go up to 44 million dollars so she should be pretty happy

  32. AMERICANREBEL ! on February 13, 2022 at 11:43 pm

  41. N&N Transport Xprs on February 13, 2022 at 11:52 pm

What type of equipment is used to differentiate sodalite from lapis lazuli? I just got a stone that it was sold as a "blue jasper" but it has inclusions that looks like silver, aluminum or zinc, with a shape like roots and I would like to identify it.

  42. Corey Merrill on February 13, 2022 at 11:52 pm

I think the gemstones are color enough.
