I used the amethyst block for flooring in a secret base that one of my friends mined into and I caught them because I could hear them. From then on I used them as flooring so I would know if someone was in my base.

… I completely emptied my amethyst geode… didn’t know the ones with cracks re grew more… fml
you have to break the blocks surrounding the budding amethyst block for it to grow crystals // The crystals will only grow if the sides of the budding amethyst block is exposed to air // if the budding amethyst block’s sides are covered it wont grow crystals // crystals will only grow is there is nothing covering the side from which it naturally grow out of the budding amethyst block!

Not being able to obtain the budding blocks with sulk touch is such bull.
There’s no reason it shouldn’t be, that’s the whole point of silk touch, getting rare or sometimes otherwise unobtainable blocks.

I think the idea of the amethyst geode was good but the execution was completely rotten. 4 crystals for 2 tinted glass is a terrible recipe.
The more I think about it the more I hate the budding amethyst mechanics, completely ruins the point of "Legos but you have to get the materials" if you just CANT get the materials and for this case here…there is absolutely no reason why it would be op to have budding amethyst in a base..it’s practically useless

If the note Block, when placed on top of an Amethyst Block, was to produce a chime note instead of the piano ones, it would have been a good mood-setting block. Maybe build a small Redstone clock that runs for 10 seconds, and activates when opening the door to the 2nd storey balcony. Imagine that: going outside to see the sunrise with a calming windchime-like sound in the background.
I dont know why but I just love the detail at the start of the video on 0:03, 1.15 being the bee update, 1.16 as the netherite update, 1.17 and 1.18 as the caves and cliffs update, etc.

I wish amethyst had more uses. I know you can now use them in armor trims but still amethyst doesn’t have a whole lot of uses. Also I wish amethyst was reverse cartable from amethyst block. It makes it a lot easier to farm than the standard way from budding amethyst. Also Also I made a new border for my nether portal from amethyst blocks and polished deep slate and it looks sick!
