I have my headboard in the top right corner because my window is to a landing (my neighbors walk past it). Also instead of a regular closet I have a walk in closet that leads to a bathroom but this is pretty much my layout.

What if you have a closet on the right side, two windows on the uppermost top of the rectangle, a wall to the left, a door where the fence/railroad drawing thing is, and a wall to the right side of the door? Also, the two windows face a garden and street, but a quiet street, hardly no cars

Because the balcony or walkway right outside your window feels more invasive, so the door feels more secure as an exit in this scenario.

How do I get you to do an example with my room layout? I feel like my current BR is both too busy and too confining.
It’s long and narrow approximately 10’ X15’ and even narrower at one end where the current closet is.
Starting with the North wall, which is about 9’ wide and has an overhang of about 15” or so. (Most likely the HVAC duct framed in with wallboard)
