Does anyone know why after aura paint dries, and gets a water drop on it, there is a color change until it dries and then the paint returns to the dried color. What is this.

  2. Mark Jefferson on September 8, 2023 at 7:33 pm

Nice video. Thanks for sharing this information. One important difference that was not mentioned here is that there are certain color types ( Color Stories ) line that work only with Aura. They tend to accentuate color differently when light hits. This feature isn’t available in any other type such as regal or ben.

  3. Agnes Hackett on September 8, 2023 at 7:35 pm

Have you reviewed Dark Harbor and Stained Glass

  4. seventhsteel on September 8, 2023 at 7:35 pm

Thanks for the info but why on earth is this a video if you’re not even going to show us the paint? Use the medium

  5. SH on September 8, 2023 at 7:36 pm

While I agree it’s partly our fault. The W technique and no backrolling requirements should definitely be in bold on the label and tds . Especially the backrolling .

We had so much flashing it was a nightmare to work with. But then again, it was serverly reduced once. we stop to back roll.

Strange thing is we did regal select no issues what so ever . And it glowed .

  6. delo Last on September 8, 2023 at 7:36 pm

The drying time problem more than likely comes from back rolling and lifting the finish

What do you recommend for exterior paint. I have an 120 year old Victorian which I’m trying to restore to its original beauty.

  8. D Sciarrino on September 8, 2023 at 7:41 pm

    Junk

  9. Tanya Hamilton on September 8, 2023 at 7:43 pm

Loving your channel……I been watching many lately and your videos are the answers to my questions here in 2021….thanks!

  10. Eric Newton on September 8, 2023 at 7:43 pm

you need to try less known brands like Richard’s Farrell-calhoun ect.. Richard’s has their Signature ceramic interior that is as good as aura but a lot less expensive. Aura exterior but fades quick .Ive sold andused over 10 different brands and Ben moore is very good paint but there are othere brands that are just as good and the other brands save you money.

I’ve tried a lot of paint over the years. Finally decided to paint our whole 19th century victorian home with Aura. I did all the painting myself. This is hands down the very best paint I’ve ever used. Everything this guy says is true Plus – the deepest richest color you can imagine. So elegant. SW duration isn’t even in the same league.

Whooaa! I just got a sample can of Aura paint today and tested it out on one wall. I still can’t get over the fact that there is no yucky chemical smell coming off the paint. Usually that smell lingers for a while while it’s drying but not with Aura. I can finally feel comfortable painting at home without burning my nose and getting a headache. The color is so vibrant as well compared next to a wall I painted with Regal. I’m in awe how it retains it’s vibrancy even when it gets dark later in the day.

  13. Captain Kirk on September 8, 2023 at 7:45 pm

Aura is the best hands down

  14. Sharon Sponaugle on September 8, 2023 at 7:46 pm

I am going to be painting wood porch leaners/ door hangers (signs for ones front porch) was going over paints oh my gosh so much to learn. I would like to know your opion on what to use. I am in florida (moisture). Using pine boards-was going to seal with kiln for primer then paint with color. Things that impact what looking for moisture in Florida, cold weather, lasting, cost and not cracking or peeling after a bit. Long lasting. If I should clear or just use paint with primer. I know so much I am new at this any suggestions would be great.. ty

Who ever is getting one coat coverage Id hate to see how rough the stipple is from using a high nap roller. I find aura about the same as Super paint in pretty much all aspects.

  17. Sandra Arner on September 8, 2023 at 7:48 pm

an use use a regal paint color in Aura par
    Paint?

  18. Tyler & Chelsea on September 8, 2023 at 7:50 pm

Just used aura for the first time and felt like the drying time was absolutely sluggish idk what we did wrong

  19. Chris L on September 8, 2023 at 7:51 pm

Have you reviewed the new formulas with the black can?

  20. The Pink Diamonds on September 8, 2023 at 7:53 pm

It’s funny I was just noticing the paints that you love I end up hating.

  21. Jeff Wilson on September 8, 2023 at 7:54 pm

@$80 per it should be good

  22. H A on September 8, 2023 at 7:57 pm

Can you apply this paint to both wood trim, baseboards and walls?

  23. M Williamson on September 8, 2023 at 7:58 pm

This is exactly what I needed to know! I’m eco friendly and have a very old home! Its my age 67 and I need to paint with quality products that last. I was going to do a small bathroom with only one tiny window on the east side. It’s only a 3/4 bath with a small shower. I wanted a foster finish and mixes proof.

  24. xenod1066 on September 8, 2023 at 7:58 pm

    How is it for cabinets?
Is it tough enough? I’ve been happy with it for other projects.

  25. scott hester on September 8, 2023 at 8:01 pm

Not a fan of it , just finished painting a 2 million dollar house with it, took two coats and some areas could even use a 3rd coat in some areas, not much working time with it, doesn’t work well cold temps, very finicky, spatters, pain in the ass, prefer regal select or duration from Sherwin Williams. If you have perfect temps all day with no fog or humidity and like spending mone6 then use it. Regal select is more versatile, or regal high build select. Indoors aura is ok.

  26. Dman Dman on September 8, 2023 at 8:03 pm

Great Paint although I’ve never understood why they get such low ratings from the consumer reports

  27. Viks on September 8, 2023 at 8:04 pm

I only use Aura paint. Long lasting and easy to wash.

  28. grisly flatlander on September 8, 2023 at 8:05 pm

    Good video.
    One observation however.
When oil trim paint was mentioned
Satin Impervo waterborne was flashed on the screen not the alkyd.

  29. Jennifer Starner on September 8, 2023 at 8:07 pm

What do you recommend for exterior paint? I’m painting over aluminum siding!!!! I love your channel! Helped me choose my exterior color!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

  30. G O D on September 8, 2023 at 8:14 pm

Is it that much better? Should I upgrade for $900 more to paint the house?

  31. Epic Gaming Ect on September 8, 2023 at 8:14 pm

Worst Paint on the market ever it’s litterally DRYFALL. Never again will I ever use Aura paint waste of money, waay over priced and cause me too have too sand it off and redo all of my work with Life Master. It’s Garbage

  32. AV8R BRI on September 8, 2023 at 8:15 pm

used BJ AURA to paint our HTR (burgundy) and looks super awesome. I actually rolled over the existing color with one coat. Stuff is like heavy maple syrup!!
not the easiest to work with, but the results made it worth it. just my opinion

  33. SH on September 8, 2023 at 8:17 pm

Can you comment to the work time or make a video on how to paint with it ? . If seems like you need to treat it like lacquer . Or do you know if you need 518 extender if you are not quiet a pro but not an amerature

  34. Michelle Abraham on September 8, 2023 at 8:17 pm

Hi! I want to use a sherwin williams color, have it made with Aura…Will I still achieve all/most Aura benefits? Thank you!

  35. Jacobo Sebastian on September 8, 2023 at 8:18 pm

  36. Yash Patel on September 8, 2023 at 8:21 pm

  37. Michael Hochhalter on September 8, 2023 at 8:23 pm

I simply love Aura. I the flat in my kitchen..oil splatters just wipe off..worth every penny and it lasts for years

  38. Marilyn Tenenbaum on September 8, 2023 at 8:24 pm

French Toile matte – gorgeous in my North facing bedroom, as well as another south facing bedroom

  39. synthesaurus on September 8, 2023 at 8:25 pm

I try to avoid Aura as much as I can. It runs

  40. Megana Hosein on September 8, 2023 at 8:25 pm

what about Farrow and Ball? I love Aura but I’m tempted to try F&B as everyone says it’s amazing. Advice?

  41. bernice torres on September 8, 2023 at 8:27 pm

I’m looking into using the Aura in Sea Salt. I love it, but the price might be out of my budget. I’ve been looking into other similar colors with Benjamin Moore…I haven’t been able to find one that I love. Ugh, the price. Any suggestions with similar colors? thanks. Love your channel.

  42. D Sciarrino on September 8, 2023 at 8:28 pm

    Junk

  43. David Escobar on September 8, 2023 at 8:28 pm

Since i work at a paint store i want to know how you can use aura as a primer do you tint the 1x or you can use it by just shaking it. And giving it to the customer. Also is matte the one i choose to give them as a primer.

  44. Deborah Lima on September 8, 2023 at 8:28 pm

Been painting all my life. Never had trouble with paint, but semi-gloss interior Aura is a night mare. It dries so fast your cannot back brush without it sagging. I was told you have to work FAST with this paint. WHY!!! You should be able to paint, and have the paint blend and smooth out. This paint DOES NOT smooth out at all. Good Luck if you buy this.

  45. StrangeDisposition on September 8, 2023 at 8:30 pm

I painted an accent wall with Aura using a brush and it’s like painting with syrup but yeah it’s good quality.

  46. cristobal romeo on September 8, 2023 at 8:31 pm

Aura it is the best exterior paint for James hardy planks ? Thanks
