This is the first video I see on your channel and I loved the way you explain things in such a clear and organized way

I made the entire crater of the volcano my outpost. No need to build walls because its already built. No dinos spawn there and tons of obsidian. I get 6k-7k obsidian on a x1 boost just by Magmasaur (i havent tried anky yet) just by clearing the clumps of obsidians next to the opening of the crater. You can build platform by the edge and put giant tek behemoth gates but there’s really no point. I just put a transmitter and teleporter pad for easy transport.

Can u make one video like where are dinos spawn locations i spend like hour searching for some low level rex for eggs and found only one and that one was stupid and instead of going in trap she gone to kill bronto that killed her.

Thanks for the tip about the location at the edge of the swamp. If I take my Theri along, I can pick up some mushrooms from the mangrove trees while I’m there.
Another place I use for obsidian is around Lat 30.8 Lon 36.8, with around 10-12 nodes, just on the east side of the redwoods. There are 4 oil wells in this area too, and also pretty safe on the little peninsula.
I’ve also noticed that a Crystal Wyvern can harvest sap from the nearby Christmas trees, but not the Joshua trees in the desert.
