Those who are proficient in the philosophy of science do see the connection of the logic of scientific method with the wisdom of Indian Shad-darshanas. On the other hand, Puranas are seen as books filled with stories, may be even some moral advice but hardly anything on the philosophy of modern science. And while Upanishad may be credited with deeper philosophy, not many would relate them to methods of scientific discoveries. Are there specific teachings from Puranas and Upanishads that not only refer to elements of scientific acumen but also provide unique insights for the discipline of scientific research? This talk illustrates few examples of deep scientific insights from Puranas & Upanishads.
About The Speaker:
Nilesh Nilkanth Oak, is the author of “When did the Mahabharata War Happen?”, “The Mystery of Arundhati”, where he freshly evaluated astronomy observations of Mahabharata text. His work led to validation of 5561 BCE as the year of Mahabharata War while falsifying more than 120 alternate claims. The book was nominated for the Lakatos award; the award is given annually by London School of Economics for a contribution to the philosophy of science. In this second book- “The Historic Rama”, he decisively falsifies timelines proposed by Dr. P V Vartak (7300 BCE), Shri Pushkar Bhatnagar (5200 BCE), SRS ( 10000 BCE) and M R Yardi ( 1500 BCE) Nilesh researches in astronomy, archeology, anthropology, quantum mechanics, economics, ancient narratives and philosophy.

54:45 best point. For people these days a well paying 9-5 is the ultimate goal and booze and party is the only escape. I also believe, if you haven’t spent your life over a genuine cause, solving a major problem or helping people out (in masses), you haven’t done much punya. Perhaps you lived a happy, content life, but at least I wouldn’t find it the perfect life ever lived. Success for me is if people miss me after I am gone… not if they talk about me and my wealth for only the time I am alive.

What is the need for putting subtitles in English when speaker is using same.Additionally it obliterates the slide shows.while TV version does not have one.please remove the subtitles for easy viewing of slideshow.Moreover these prove to be very irritating

Well. This is like Christians may claim that the Bible is scientific since it says somewhere :Truth Shall Make You Free", which was the motto of Caltech chosen by the first President of Caltech, being a professor of divinity before he got into physics, who was deeply religious Christian. But The Bible is full of myths and lot of nonsense as well. Itihas and Purana are a good mixture of Good, Bad and Ugly, just like the Bible, and most of the time shows lack of Logic, Science and Mathematical rigor. Vedas, Upanishads and Shastras have less of myths compared to Itihas and Purana which got into entertainment business similar to Bollywood.

Though, i wanted to express the below message from long.
Its very difficult to understand due to English Accent.
Please help in with Hindi subtitles with videos recorded in English.
I have tried searching this video on Sangam- Hindi Channel, no luck.
Chances are high that the content will have much higher effect if recorded in Hindi with English subtitles.
I am disappointed this time more as I see the content is very informative and inspiring in the video.
If inspiring young audiences (from lay men to well educated) is our goal, I am sorry to say it may not be as wide as it can be.
If your goal audience is not Indians living in India, then I totally understand the purpose of recording in English. Please forgive me if it sounds rude.

I am a person who knows not too much of science maths or technology. Until recently ( say three four years) I was not paying much attention to what has been enumerated in our ancient philosophy. The things I saw, heard or listened to from any source in respect of our sanatan dharma, it was not convincing or inspiring that could lead me to have a keen look into it all. However after my retirement I have a whale of a time on hand, I have started taking some deep interest in reading and listening to various YouTube video on these subjects. I have come to the conclusion that this esoteric knowledge embedded in our philosophy is not for less educated people like me. It takes a scientist, philosopher, mathematician or literary person to fully understand all this.

Dear sir the content is really great and we need to take it more to the public … what i see is that you videos are pretty long .. people in general try to avoid such a lengthy videos … and my request is you should break into small episodes of 5-10 min each … and put appropriate titles to catch attention … we have to penetrate our ancient knowledge to the new generation .. social media is a great platform …. a small episode on ancient geography, physics, medicine, mathematics, vedas or any topic … this will penetrate faster and will not miss younger generation attention …. and if the video is small it can be circulated across other social media platforms … keep the work on …
