Ben just so you know, the presidents and politicians don’t believe in "Astrology"
It’s an entire belief system that is as old as Christianity. Occultism. (I think all of the above are nonsense, for the record!) But they really do believe in that stuff, even Nixon had a "Fortune teller" and apparently Hillary would consult a woman who stares into a black mirror and "Sees messages" – the elite have some WEIRD beliefs.

i really like your interviewing style & your commentary. i wanna say tho that astrology as a historical concept is a lot more complex & ridden with culture than the version we currently have presented in social media // online. buzzfeed astrology is, of course, bullshit. but there’s some extremely mathematically related disciplines of astrology like "aspects" & certain transits that blow my mind and can be extremely accurate when compared with history of certain bait ions and cultures and charts of events. i totally agree that what we see of astrology is hogwash, but there’s a lot more to astrology than is able to meet the eye on such a superficial level.

According to the book of Enoch, which used to be a part of the Jewish canon, the original zodiac was literally just used to mark months and seasons. It is actually the most boring part of the document imho.

I don’t like astrology and have many argument with my friends cause I think it’s so dumb and idk how anyone can believe it lol like I feel astrology takes away the meaning of life cause your just predisposed to live a certain way cause you were born at a time of the year so what’s the point that’s just another aspect of your life where choice is taken from you
Nobody is just their Sun sign, You have all 12 signs in your chart…you have to go by your birth chart to get your Rising Sign, and know all the houses and where your planets are at the time of your birth. Knowing Astrology can take many years and you would need to read many books to understand it all, and many take some courses if you can’t find and read all the books. There are 12 houses in a birth chart and have one of the zodiac signs in each house, and planets randomly in different houses around the chart, that can make positive or negative aspects to learn or grow from, combined with the daily transits in the sky, you can see how each day, week, month…..etc….will affect you. You can’t go by something you read in a newspaper or magazine, that’s way too general, each person is unique (like a finger print or dna) and needs to know their own chart.

It’s about cycles and placements not just your sun sign. It’s about the combination of your chart.
If you include someone’s moon sign that’s 144 different combinations. Now include mars, venus, mercury etc. You can’t just pick someone’s sun sign and debunk it. There’s plenty of evidence for the reality of the effects of the full moon, mercury retrograde and sunspots.
Astrology is the epitome of the bell curve meme. Go out and get a proper full chart reading and read about your aspects. You make good points about it in general but you haven’t actually understood it properly, until then make your decision.

Did you know there is is American Federation of astrologers? Did you know President Nixon conulted all of his decisions with an astrologer before signing things as an astrologer? Did you know that in India they use Astrology to help decide arranged marriages and they have some of the lowest divorce rates?
Astrology cannot be prove wrong. There has been many experiments done but none have bee able to give a solid answer. The reason for this is because the accuracy of th astrology is dependant upon the interpreter.
Many don’t realize astrologers go through 5-10 years of studying and reading charts and getting to know the people of those charts to get to know the personality traits of each zodiac for sun, moon, rising sign are big parts. Then you go through the rest of their chart, what does someone with a Pluto square Mars act like ( these people tend to be aggressive to abusive levels) I had gotten to know about 10 people with that aspect and truly feel it fits all 10.
Astrology commonly those who think it’s as simple as the sun zodiac horoscopes I the back of a cosmo magazine are of course going to doubt Astrology because they aren’t seeing Astrology in its true form.
They probably also for the 8% statistics was going by the looks based on the sun sign. Of course it will be inaccurate. You aren’t looking at the proper sign. It’s based on the sign and planets in the 1st house of are considered to be accurate.

all the specific personality traits are the most generic words, so they apply to all of them in some way. then the stupid people are like "omg thats totally me!" so they end up believing astrology. notice how the majority of astrology believers are young white females….?

Y’all notice the zodiac sky never changes, and i’m pretty sure the bible God lays claim to painting and placing the pictures in the sky and it also claims that the luminaries are spirits of fire that are responsible for the frequencies on the earth, which does effect people. You got the whole concept back to front & inside out. The stars were named after there energetic attributes that were noted after thousands of years of scientific study. Then a character with those attributes was assigned. And considering these ancient ancestors have more knowledge on architecture, building, astronomy & art. It’s incredibly short sighted to view there thousands of years of study though such a painfully basic lens. What a shame he didn’t bother to do 5 minutes of research before he decided to be a doush
