How do I use frankincense for my face? I do not use moisturizer because my face always breaks out after using it to much!

Can you tell me why any essential oil would not be okay for internal use? Also, I am wanting to create my own perfume with oils. If I were to use a citrus, would it really be advised still to avoid the sun or is it diluted pretty well then? I don’t even know what makes up perfume besides essential oils, tbh, but I’d want to make lotion too, possibly. I just want to have cruelty-free products, basically and do them myself for my pennies.
