Sapphires come in many varieties of blue. The light blue sapphire I have catches the light and sparkles like no tomorrow. It certainly gets attention because of that but many folk aren’t aware that sapphires can be light blue. One of the mist important thing with any gem is to keep it clean! Polish it every day, a soft toothbrush with ammonia if they’re really dirty – but keep them shiny and enjoy that sparkle!
I do not believe this guy is scratching a Swatchwatch 🙁
I clean my stones diamonds, sapphires, rubies with hand sanitiser it’s 70% and at the moment very very cheap it was a £1 bottle is now 10p or to clean dirty jewellery use pure washing up, liquid in a small bowl or dish for a day or so, then rinse off with warm water and you can still use the washing up liquid oon your knifes, plates, spoons and cups. In the past the question comes up when a jeweller asks you if you want your rings and jewellery buffed up and polished especially the stones. Ask a Question "WHY",. Before you do, can you make sure that your rings and jewellery are safe. 9 karat, 10 karat, 14 karat, 18 karat and 22 karats with stones by asking one of those other sales staff to check the jewellery and stones also, you ask them to describe the stones and gold weight in writing. So there is no problems later that the ring’s or pendant that’s cleaned are your rightful properties in karat impression on rings and stones in other jewellery pieces. By getting these staff to confirm that the genuine articles. Also because I have had this happen to me with my 1.25 ct Brazilian paribra stone had it validated has a paribra price at amazing $18,000 US in 18k yellow gold. For a moment I was fooled, the topaz looked similar stone has I had pointed out to the staff member who had looked at the stone before. The jeweller cleaned it, and this didn’t look right, having a rutilated gold line though one quarter of the stone on the left hand side of the ring and the topaz did not have this. Then the staff member quickly talked to the jeweller and he said, that his staff they had checked the weight and the stone for flaws and said he returned me the wrong ring and stone by mistake and not checking himself, made that mistake. I have heard other stories of jewellers swapping out cubic zirconias for diamonds and silver with gold plated that happened to my mother she didn’t do any of this. And have them weigh it, that way, you and the staff can say something if it comes up a bit shy of your weight then the staff who have weighted it for you or doesn’t feel right you can take pictures on your phone before you hand over your jewellery then you can complain about it . And remember not all jewellers are like this, but the thing is your not on your guard all the time, they don’t think it’s a crime, and they know this and get away with it most often or not.
Useless to much talking
do one on cabochons
Are u ok man why did you do that on the ⌚??!!!!
Is the natural sapphire company a good one to buy sapphire from
Best way is to look at the inclusions, if u cannot see natural ones definetelly cannot be identify as natural, also you need to see the line of growth and its color, most of fake ones have a super color with no inclusions at microscope…(super fake) 😀
Can presence of air bubble shows that the blue sapphire is not real

Use a diamond tester it won’t test as a diamond but it’ll be close since the mohls hardness is 9
swatch made usa ic no. ma167 ,8 pin ,nc pin no.2,try brark this tiny pin ,if ur sestch is dead….amd.
This is absolutely horrible advice. No gemologist is going to scratch test any stone. Take it to a real gemologist. We are trained to use a refractometer and magnification to determine material and treatments without damaging a stone or a watch. It terrifying me that someone making a living with gemstones would be this amateur in testing.

You forgot another accurate way to tell what it is. You can buy a gem testing machine. Such as the Gem-eye 1 (and other such specialty machines). Even a basic diamond tester machine will accurately tell you if the stone you have is a ruby/sapphire, quartz, or a piece of glass.
Me looking at the video and think: humm, it’s shiny? It’s nice color? It’s made from solid material? So what should I care?
Like they said, shop at reputable stores like Cartier, Tiffany, Harry Winston, Graff, Peter Marco, Van Cleef and Arpels! You’ll get the good jewels!
Can somebody tell me what sapphire is this?
Do you know that 99 % of swatch watches have acrylic glasses??? Only one as a sapphire crystal? The SWATCH FLYMAGIC! So your test is pointless.

Beautiful
What sir u are who
Is everyone gonna act as if his name is not Mohammed Ali
You are scratching the watch and not the sapphire itself. That’s weird.
Great vid.
images of the gems are blurry, please use better "focus" we as gemologist approve of high quality definition to for our viewing pleasure!
