If It’s Ethiopian opal you can get your finger wet and touch it a real one is sticky and absorbs moisture

The diamonds look so fake so it wasn’t a shock that the ring one was fake

Drop a welo opal in water and if it becomes so clear that it almost disappears, it’s real.

The opal in the ring looks like a Gilson opal. It has the same reds

Wow, I just ordered a bunch of so called fire opals and was wondering if they were going to be real. Since the stones that I use are for beading, there is a HUGE amount of deception in that particular market. Right now, there is a flood in the market of beautiful looking stones that are coming out of China, that are ALL fakes. They are selling these as emeralds, rubies, jade, topaz, whatever, etc….. However, these are ALL the exact same stone just being called a variety of names. I do a step down version of upper scale jewelry in an artistic form. I work mostly with genuine various colored pearls and combine them with natural stones, in addition to various other mediums such as porcelain, glass, Swarovski crystals and other high end crystals. It is imperative that I am able to differentiate between real and fake stones, so that I may bring my customers good quality jewelry and stones at at a fair price, because I believe that ALL ladies deserve to be able to afford beautiful jewelry with real stones, regardless of her financial glass. I thank you for your many videos that have aided in my quest to provide my customers with honest quality artistic pieces that they can rely on to be what is written on my tags. This is so very important to me. Thank you, again. These videos have helped me do very much

I have a Ethiopian opal that looks almost just like the one in the ring. I cut it myself by hand from raw form though
