This solid Australian black opal is a truly unique piece, with an impressive size and swirling color, it’s perfect for any opal lover’s collection. The Lightning Ridge dark crystal opal has been expertly and securely set in a handcrafted fine silver bezel and backed with sterling silver, with a simple sterling bail across the top. The opal measures 18.5 x 14 x 2.33 millimeters (at its longest, widest and thickest points) and weighs 3.75 carats; it exhibits swirling blue and aqua flash with black patterning. The sterling silver chain is currently 20 inches in length, but can be shortened upon request; the chain is finished with a sterling silver lobster clasp.

I use primarily reclaimed silver, eco-friendly processing, crafting, and polishing techniques, locally-sourced materials whenever possible. I handcraft each of my pieces individually; none of the settings are cast or pre-fabricated. All photos were taken using only sunlight as the lighting source; most of the photos in this listing were taken in diffused sunlight, photos #6, #7, and #8 were taken in direct sunlight.
