Vintage 1940s GoldTone Coro Celestial Turquoise, Lapis, Jade, Pink Opal, Sapphire Crescent Brooch

For me, the most intriguing thing about this piece is the are all of the mixed gemstones. It isn’t often you see some many different types of gemstones on a single piece. We also have an example of two other wonderful things, we have several different shades and shapes of turquoise. Most beautiful to me are the marquise shaped turquoise. And they are substantially in size at 3mmx6mm. I just don’t see things like that very often, and to add that the craftsmanship is coro, and goodness do you have a recipe for a beautiful piece.

A few little details about this piece:
With the exception of one small round turquoise in the bottom right corner all of the gemstones are in wonderful shape. Two small round turquoise are completely missing from this piece and it is such a shame that they were lost to time. I think without mentioning it, it would be hard to tell they are missing and this would still very much be a brilliant piece to wear and show off. It would be a shame for something so beautiful not to be worn.
