I was told by a friend that while selenite is used to cleanse crystals, it does not actually charge them. In fact, leaving crystals on selenite slabs "disables" them to do their purpose. I was advised to use selenite to cleanse crystals and then use clear quartz or pink opal to charge them.

Hey, I had my selenite(satin spar) outside overnight bc of full moon, the forecast said it’s not gonna rain, but it rained a little bit in the evening, I went outside and dryed it off with cloth. It doesnt seem to be damaged, but does it loose its properties or discharges? Is it still okay to use it?
Selenite really makes my body feel very light and tingly, great energy especially the wand of it.

If its not clear, then its satin spar, this girl doesnt know what shes talking about. REAL selenite is clear like clear quarttz almost and you will never find selenite carved in any shapes. Its so delicate that it cant be shaped into anything, thats why you know that its not selenite because satin spar can be shaped into different things but not REAL selenite

If i leave my crystals around my selenite tower is it going to cleanse them from the energy and intentions i set them with? I have one but i didn’t realize that it cleanses their energy.
This is very unfortunate, but I watched this video on how to spot fake crystals and Satin Spar is confused for Selenite. Selenite and Satin Spar are in the same crystal family (gypsum). Real Selenite is more rare and expensive. It’s so sad that people sell fakes, but I hope this helped.
