    Nice. tell you a trick old lapidary told me years ago you will like this . I use super glue to dope stones to nails in dowels as well… to remove the stone lay down a towel for the stone to fall in to . Tap the nail shank with the back edge of a butter knife sharp strike …. stone falls right off . Clean as normal. Hope that helps . Great work.

    Is 1/4 inch about the thickness for cabbing or 1/2 inch

    What would you suggest to do this without power tools? I know that would be a grind, but would sandpaper used for metal work for natural turquoise?

    Nice video! I got some turq from an estate sale & I’m learning how to polish. How do you know when to polish a pit out & when to leave it as ‘character’?

    Questions: Why do you not like Wax for Cabochons? Also, what is cross contamination of grits, when sanding with wheel?

    P.s. I remove opals this way will not harm the stone.
