Some short history:
The Style itself according to legend originated in the Late Ming to Early Qing Dynasty. Six Martial Arts Expert met on Quanshan Mountain by fate. While living in the area,they spent a lot of time fishing and farming. During that time they got inspired to create a new style the Fish Gate Boxing.
What do we see:
The Eight Trigram Diagram(Bagua Tu) seems to outline some of the more complex stepping methods of the style. There are Daoist Ritual Practice and also Daoist Martial Arts which revolve around similar methods. A person or multiple person who use a certain kind of stepping and chanting to envoke a ritual for a Daoist Deity or in Martial Arts to conform to the Bagua Principle or the Taiji Principle.

Going by the name, I thought it was going to be one of those animal imitation styles, but actually it’s pretty serious.
