Wait, retrieving memory doesn’t mean it exists outside of the brain and in the self. There’s different areas of the brain for storing memory and the retrieval of memories. Of course I’m not gonna think of yesterday’s breakfast unless someone asks, but that’s because it’s not in the forefront of my mind. It’s there stored, if someone asks, the retrieval area of my brain finds it. What would you say to dementia patients?
Be weary of any PBS “sweeps period” stuff or Oprah crap like this and the Amen brain scan stuff. Like going to a chiropractor… we can fix you but it will take a LOT of sessions… or seminars… or books… I wanted to believe

The True-Self can never be found because it is always in you! You can only realize it through enlightenment! Self-realization is experiencial and not a thought process through one’s intellect.
