Hello, I have brown furniture and I’ve recently been talking about painting the inside of the home. While watching this video I couldn’t help but notice how beautiful the brown looks in your space with such crisp white walls and the beautiful sheers. I’ve always been stuck on white because of my fear of bugs. (Long story). I get a great amount of sunlight in the home what sort of bright white would you recommend for a small home that’s an open concept dining, living room, and kitchen with all really dark brown furniture… kitchen has white cabinets

    Thanks

  9. Pamela Williams on June 25, 2023 at 7:18 am

With such bright colors. Inside. How do you coordinate the color of exterior of a house to come into the inside of complimentary flowing colors ? Or does it matter from exterior to the interior paint colors

Loving your Feng Shui videos!! We purchased a home on the Island of Madeira that includes the furniture. We love the home for many reasons but I need to decorate with a WHITE kitchen (IKEA style) and tile floors that I really don’t care for (hoping to renovate flooring in the few years). Finding you videos very inspirational.

you have so many fans who live in the southern hemisphere… it can get a little confusing for some… such a great video..

  14. Joyce Kwok on June 25, 2023 at 7:23 am

Good video. Lots of information. I am glad that you talk about trends. I don’t follow trends but it is fun to add them especially in decoration items or small areas to make our home refresh and updated. I like you show the pictures as examples.
For fend shui as your videos are so informative you can show or explain more to ppl how ppl can achieve that. One of my inspiration is for example, you can change curtains to dusty pink on kids room to show the lucky color or hang a nice art on the wall. These investments do not need to change often so ppl would like to do that.

My #1 confusion when applying Feng Shui is whether to orient the Bagua by cardinal direction or entrance wall. Currently, my entrance is due East.

Julie. I have a problem. Where do u tile behind hood fan if your cabinets do not reach ceiling. Below the hood fan or all the way up to ceiling behind hood fan please advise

  27. JustSeekerLanding [jessica landi] on June 25, 2023 at 7:59 am

This is really weird but when I looked at the map and thought about what would be the corresponding areas in my home…each room had at least two of the color/elemental aspects already. Down to a random pink decor pillow in the SW corner and a faux wild yellow flower arrangement in an earthen floor vase in what would be the center area. I had never heard of this "map" before and yet I have all the colors in the mapped places. So bizarre!

  28. Nick ridgway on June 25, 2023 at 7:59 am

I again thank you for your Feng Shui tips.
I’m constantly learning and loving to spend time ‘mapping my main compact living/kitchen space and seemingly overlaying that within harmonious context to the whole flat which has a predominant south facing aspect and nr to the sea…on the earth. 🙂
Progression ~which fills my mind with a fresh healthy plant like translucent green ( which isn’t jealousy… really) .. and a pearl

  29. A. Andre Rivera on June 25, 2023 at 7:59 am

It’s amazing how those colors just feel right in those areas of the room!

  30. Raymond Juan on June 25, 2023 at 7:59 am

  34. Lee Bradford on June 25, 2023 at 8:05 am

Love colours! I started with pinks, green paint and tranquil retreat – light grey! It’s great and then added in some white again x

  35. T J Brown on June 25, 2023 at 8:05 am

Thank you so much Julie for pointing out the difference with the Bagua map, if you live in the Southern Hemisphere. I do and I had no idea you had to do that. Please continue with your Feng Shui series, loving your advice. xoxoxo

  36. Jeka Lambert on June 25, 2023 at 8:06 am

I have a problem using cool tones in the north and NW and fire colors in the south and SW. Northern light is already cool. You want to warm up your space, not reinforce how cold it feels. Vice versa for southern exposures – they are already hot. Good colors for southern facing rooms are cooler tones.

  37. Jesse Erickson Sutton on June 25, 2023 at 8:06 am

    This is cool!
