Drumming & Dreaming: for Children at Bagua Center

Drumming &Dreaming: for Children is a special workshop created by Bagua Center facilitator Fernando Subirats.
Children ages 5 to 12 years old will have an opportunity to learn more about their dreams, to understand them and how to remember them. They will also have the opportunity to experience a Drumming meditation led by Fernando who is an experienced facilitator and parent to three children. Participants will also get to hold and play a ceremonial drum and develop a respect for shamanic dreaming traditions. One free child admission ages 5 to 12 years old with every paid adult admission. Siblings receive a 10% discount and can be paid at the door only. Parents are encouraged to stay for the workshop but are not required to.

When: June 28th 2019 at 7:00 pm

Event flow:

7:00pm – 7:30pm Arrivals, Greetings and Group Sharing.

7:30pm – 8:00pm  An introduction to Shamanic Drumming (with audience participation)

8:00pm – 8:30pm  Drumming meditation journey (reclined or seated)

8:30pm – 9:00pm  Group sharing circle and event closing.

Fernando Subirats is a drummer, dream facilitator , community builder and hands-on parent of three children. His style of meditation “Drumming and Dreaming “ has been offered at Bagua since early 2017. Fernando has brought the shamanic and indigenous practice of drumming meditations to our modern community and continues to do so at various venues throughout Miami. He is also a stage and studio musician and happily married to his wife of over 20 years.
