Didn’t this Shetty guy just get rumbled for lying about his time as a monk and ripping people’s twitter posts?

  8. @tripleplatinumllc on June 6, 2024 at 5:27 pm

Who or what kind of doctor should I google in my area for a vitamin regiment?

I take Fiber in the morning and magnesium before bed.

I would really like to put something together as a morning and night vitamin or supplement routine.

  9. @lynellpudlz4326 on June 6, 2024 at 5:29 pm

This resonates with me sooo much which is why I am seeing Functional Medicine now !!!! Conventional Medicine has done nothing for me with GI, auto immune, and hormonal issues.

  12. @ankitabhargava3708 on June 6, 2024 at 5:33 pm

The best part about this podcast is that it’s based on research and Dr Shah lists everything he’s learned about gut, glucose and more from all the best people. This is a beautiful summary.

For Jay – please try getting Dr Pal, the gutman to this podcast as well. I think it’ll be amazing

  13. @dynamicdiana333 on June 6, 2024 at 5:35 pm

Jay shetty’s information is always amazing! I know it’s Petty but I can’t seem to stop looking at the word. Don’t above his head. And then on the book it says cons.

I am sorry … how do you avoid sitting when you are at work…. nice idea but not realistic. My grandfather sat a lot and lived over 96

I often wonder if these podcasts reduce processed fiod eating. I di rst organic, but it’s very hard to not eat some processed foods.

Gut health is so important and id love to study on it. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, Doc.

  22. @EvaStribling on June 6, 2024 at 5:46 pm

Love this video. What is not being talked about though is how expensive these tests are in the US and how not accessible it is for everyone. Sad, but a reality.

  23. @Ceejay-yo1vi on June 6, 2024 at 5:47 pm

    Watching this while working out

  24. @nagarekhagorantla7682 on June 6, 2024 at 5:49 pm

    Amazing podcast❤

  25. @yanniemoorman on June 6, 2024 at 5:49 pm

That is true about western medicine. It’s so different in Asia, that even the slightest symptom, they will require tests. Here, they just ask you feel and that’s it. Theyll just listen to what you’re saying and then prescribed you immediately with meds. Lol it’s a joke! Ican compare it to kids playing pretend doctors

  26. @erikawebb31 on June 6, 2024 at 5:49 pm

I got a couch pedal bike for whenever I’m working to keep going or when I’m at home studying my materials. I’m super excited I started following you! Thanks Jay

Who can afford to buy organic? Sounds great in theory but not realistic

Great video ! Praying you eventually start praying in low income communities rather than places like Dubai .

I’m putting TMI out there HOWEVER, IM SO DESPERATE AND THIS IS LIFE OR DEATH FOR ME!!! I’m a mom of 5-in my late 30’s I began a full blown addiction to opiates doctor related..then to meth and suboxone daily and I’m 45..I know stopping the addiction is number ONE HOWEVER, not having a supportive husband (whom is a covert narcissist to a fault) on top of having a very unsupportive family -WHAT ARE THE STEPS IM NEEDING TO TAKE TO OPTIMALLY BEGIN TO GAIN MY HEALTH BACK..I’m now losing hair by the handfuls as well as teeth..I’m so scared and the anxiety of it is real..I’m an empathic, loving mother whom unfortunately loved other people way more than I love myself, and now that I need help no one going to help me—they love seeing me in this shape and it kills my souls willingness to keep moving forward

    blah blah blah blah blah

  33. @biancagadi786 on June 6, 2024 at 5:58 pm

two vegans/vegetarians trying to tell us what is healthy eating.
    at least be factually accurate.
F I B E R: is not an "essential" nutrient for us. It is not needed in the body/blood. Remains in digestive tract at all times. Never becomes part of our body. Fiber is a substrate of carbohydrates +feeds gut bacteria, our body CAN NOT absorb its nutrients.
animal products also feed our gut bacteria. pretty much anything we eat, in part, feeds our gut bacteria. That is why our gut bacteria changes based on what we eat. if we eat vegetables, you are correct, the fiber portion of those vegetables feeds our gut bacteria.
P R O T E I N: A very important subject is bioavailability of animal vs. plant protein. you only mention that in a single short sentence. The difference is so stark, that you as a physician, trying to educate us, should have elaborated on the actual numbers. Instead, you suggest to eat "pea protein" . Pea protein is one of the most toxin laden processed plant powders available in the market. (please please please research the scientific papers on this subject). Examples of protein bioavailability from animal products: IRON= 3 times more bio-available – Vitamin A=12-24 times more bio-available – Vitamin D=easier to store – AMINO ACIDS= full complement in every animal product. (plants only contain a few, with one exception: buckwheat)
P L A N T F O O D S : lack certain nutrients entirely (e.g. K2, B12, Creatine, Taurine, Choline, Carnetine, EPA, DHA) DHA is the most abundant fatty acid found in brain tissue, let that sink in………..plant foods do not supply this nutrient. – drastically reduce bio-avialability of Iron, A, D, Amino Acids, Protein, Iodine – interfere with absorption of nutrients (e.g. Zinc, Magnesium), even absorption of nutrients from animal foods, if consumed together with plant foods.
Plant foods should be back-up food just for fun. In a healthy diet, eat them for taste + micronutrients, not for calories or macronutrients.
GENERAL REMARK: Plant foods do not "fill you up" as you mentioned. Suggesting to eat some 800 gr (almost a kilo) of vegetables per day is ridiculous advice. Looking at the actual nutrient content of plant foods and what our body requires to be healthy and strong, will teach us that plants are not capable of doing that. By definition, a vegan must supplement to stay healthy. God did not create us to need "supplements to stay healthy and fit".
It is shameful, when physicians spread half truths, of even falsehoods.
I encourage everyone to use their brain and not just listen to someone with a title.

Thanks for such a helpful and realistic (yet very educated) podcast on health. "Being the CEO of our own health" was the takeaway for me. I think I’ll be rewatching this and continue to take away new things to implement.
