"if my hat color is white clap!"
"if my hat color is black clap!"
*clap*
but i guess his way works too

@scruffygaming627on May 27, 2024 at 5:27 pm
I understand the logical principal behind it. The riddle involved humans thinking and seeing independently. Humans are not logical by nature, so the entire riddle breaks down.
Remove the human component, and present it as a ‘math’ problem.
@Daniel-ld3hmon May 27, 2024 at 5:28 pm
If prisoner 4 had some brains, he could guess his hat correctly as well after prisoner 2 has said his color.

@user-pj4bk4dm1yon May 27, 2024 at 5:36 pm
P2 can easily win this but the rest can’t P1 can only guess P3 can only bet on P1 and P2 but for P4 he would need everyones hat color to guess it correctly
@arlolanni7254on May 27, 2024 at 5:37 pm
Both prisoners 1 and 2 have a equal chance of guessing right lol
@EternalFlame55on May 27, 2024 at 5:38 pm
How are any of the prisoners supposed to know what hats they have? Just because 1 sees 2 and 3 with white and black doesn’t mean he couldn’t have a brown hat or something also 3 and 4 can’t even see any other prisoners so how on earth is that fair?
@ReckdAgainon May 27, 2024 at 5:38 pm
I think 4 escaped prision
@thomydavidon May 27, 2024 at 5:41 pm
I think you missed some important parts: you never clarified in what order the men would be called upon to say the color of their hat, nor if each man knew what number in line they were.
So man #2 would only be able to come to his deduction had he known that man #1 was in fact man #1, and had been called upon to call out the color of his hat but instead said nothing. Man #2 would have to have known he was man #2 and it was his turn to call out the color of his hat because he couldn’t have known how many men (1 or 2) were standing behind him, nor could man #1, because neither could see the 4th man standing on the other side of the brick wall [that no one could see past]. Sorry, you told the riddle wrong.
@thatotherdan9984on May 27, 2024 at 5:42 pm
This is a classic? It’s also pretty stupid. But I get it’s meant to get people thinking, but really? You never stated that they had to say the color of their hats in sequence. So it makes no sense that number two would know that he’s silent because he didn’t have the info.

@paulwalker3758on May 27, 2024 at 5:45 pm
There’s a far harder version of this where everyone is looking one way and it works for any number of hats with 2 colours. With a little planning everyone can get it right (bar possibly one person).
