Fast food and TikTok: two great tastes that taste great together! The wildly popular streaming platform is home to a ton of fast food-related content, including some tasty hacks. But it’s also been trendy on TikTok lately to try and expose fast food restaurants as unclean, or certain menu items as somehow undesirable. Employees upload finger-wagging behind-the-scenes clips of the sausage being made, so to speak, with mixed results. One such video making the rounds is about burger chain Five Guys, which is known for its fresh ingredients. But this particular employee’s attempt to expose Five Guys was an utter fail. Here’s why.

This is definitely an advertisement. It’s a false flag fast-food marketing strategy from a chain that is trying to fend off the inevitable public boredom with their stale product in an over saturated market place.

I tried making fries many times but they always came out soggy. Once I learned to soak the fries to remove the starch, my fries were awesome. It’s a critical part of the process.

Um yes! Even if you cut peel salt and add the water you use less seasoning because the fry soaks up that salty water mixture. This is basic potato cooking roasting frying 101 whether you’re boiling to make mashed potatoes so you use less salt and sodium because it is a carb heavy and starch they need to be rinsed they need to be soaked. I guess a fast food job isn’t so easy for people that don’t know how to cook for themselves. I’m sure a lot of people are very knowledgeable about food and cooking at home but when it comes to to Central Florida every restaurant is filled and we don’t go to certain ones because we know they don’t know how to cook or prepare food. Both of our sons started out in the restaurant industry and are now in the insurance industry as private personal adjusters working for the insured against the insurance companies.
It failed only because they didn’t have a combo to order.
The fact that they have a burger that is specialized for Obama just makes me not want to eat there. The dude was an awful president and for the last election he and every Democrat interfered with a legitimate process and dumped millions of illegal ballots in. I won’t eat somewhere that has an endorsement for someone like that. I like to eat my food and I like to feel like I’m not endorsing a company that endorses illegal activity.

It worked in a restaurant as a kid, and my job was to make fry’s .. we soaked every bucket overnight in the walk-in and the starches were on the bottom. Works great!

I really don’t get them. Maybe its a cultural thing but here in the UK its normal for pubs and restaurants to make their own burgers and having a fast food chain company boasting about how fresh their burgers and chips are is a joke (its normal to soak and twice cook them here.)
Also their prices are ridiculous for a fast food place. I can honestly see them pulling out of the UK or at least not having many places here, which they already have and have a poor reputation.
