Blueberry Azurite:
The Mineral Azurite is a beautiful blue mineral associated with copper! It is a copper carbonate mineral that comes in a deep blue color we don’t always see in nature. Even better, it’s often associated with a bright green mineral, Malachite, making for some spectacular specimens that have been pulled out of copper mines in places around the world, such as the American Southwest in Utah and Arizona. Copper mines are commonly open-pit style mines and some of the largest can be found in the US Southwest and in South America in Chile. Azurite has tabular crystals but can also be found in clumps referred to as reniform or botroydal. The crystals can be quite beautiful with a glassy or vitreous shine. If you want to learn more about other blue minerals, check out my Minerals Playlist here @LetsGoGeo & start with another great blue mineral – Lazulite! Enjoy!

Help I’ve fallen down a geology rabbithole and I can’t get out! I wasn’t even interested in geology! Until now.
Damn pretty rocks. I wonder if those can be put in a tumbler or something and smoothed up.
These nails look little too clean, hahaha. Everytime I see Heather’s nails, I think: She’s a gold digger… just different kind. Keep diggin girl
