Finding [HUGE] Quartz Crystals in Gananoque Ontario
I venture to a secret quartz collecting site to search for some perfectly double terminated Quarts Crystals, what I find is even better than I expected. I stay on the waterfront in the Town of Gananoque, a great spot to relax and take in the scenery of the majestic St. Lawrence River.
Don’t forget to smash the like button 👊
Collect, rock hound, explore, dig and hike at your own risk and always seek land owner permission before collecting.
Happy to be following you now.. I am a rock hound myself
No way my family lives up there and I was completely unaware there may be precious minerals! Next time I’m up I may have to go hunting myself!
Any tips?
Those are some huge points! Nice finds!
Awesome finds Jeff. Those are some killer finds!!
Very beautiful crystals
Giday again Geoff, wow, you certainly hit a nice area with some lovely crystals and that larger one looks very impressive. Hopefully I will get chance in the near future to find some crystals myself. Keep Safe & Keep Rockin

Very nice Jeff. I must say for quartz crystals, from Ontario they are exceptional. Looking forward to more of your videos of your adventures. Smart Mine is well worth the trip. I’m sorry to hear about M bay when you n Mick went last time. There must be other trem sites close by to visit. Take care, Lloyd.
Great stuff, congrats!
nice finds
love to find stuff like this
Those are some great crystals! I would love to try and get up there sometime.
Soak those in Muriatic acid. If they get yellow on them do them in oxalic acid then. They should come out looking better unless it’s something that the acid won’t touch.
Really nice Crystal hunt,)
Wow .. that’s what I’m talking about ❤️
Wow!! Incredible finds!! Super clear, the terminations are sharp and nice- I love included quartz- definitely some beauties there.
Awe….what amazing finds!!! LOVE seeing this! I grew up just slightly west of Gananoque along the St. Lawrence and spent so much time exploring the back roads and fields and overgrown abandoned settler barns and things 🙂 Watching this made me happy – like connecting with a land that fed me and sustained me in my youth. Thank you. And yes, I believe you are pronouncing it correctly 🙂 Take care!! LeeAnn ps. I also collect rocks and minerals now and am obsessed with the treasures that Southern Ontario has to offer 🙂 God bless LeeAnn
Awesome crystals man…that big one was insane…
Well done Jeff!! As you say, for Ontario they are exceptional crystals. Good luck at the Miller property!!
You got some good ones. Hope you had a great trip overall. I’d like to get to the Smart Mine too (before snow).
Awesome Rocks man!!! Thanks for the video.
Geothite perhaps?
