These 3 People Went To Mexico For Weight-Loss Surgery And Now They Regret It | Megyn Kelly TODAY
MEXICO IS DISGUSTING
I feel so badly for all three of you and probably many others prayers.
I really feel sorry for Jessie. She didn’t look well at all and obviously still in discomfort. Mexico is not the problem. Research your doctors and clinics first.
Well even you cut out your stomach and reroute the digestive system of course things are gonna be extremely difficult
In brasil, brazilians get this surgery for free, but it is pretty hard to see someone morbidly obese on the streets, only overweight, when a morbidly obese shows off is very unusual, everybody stares
I am a United States citizen that lived in Mexico for 2 years. I got great medical care there, and surgeries. I can tell you that my care I got while in the hospital there far exceeded anything I got in the United States. I was treated like royalty and it was like being in a resort rather than a hospital. I don’t think it is fair at all to try and demostrate that the care in Mexico is inferior to the United States because it simply is not true. There are horror stories that happen in the United States as well, so to select 3 surgieres out of the millions of successful surgieres is a crock of crap and must be paid for by surgeons in the United States that are losing money because people are going to Mexico where it is more affordable and you get better care.
where did these people go?
I found Waldo in the audience!
My friend is a doctor and she did a lot of research then went to Mexico to get weight loss surgery, she got a gastric sleeve then 2 years later a bypass, she paid a fraction of the price you would pay in the US. Her surgeries were successful, she got a CD of the entire surgery & she was put up in a spa style resort, she gets weekly follow up calls post surgery. She said the experience was excellent. Unfortunately she struggled to lose weight despite the surgery because of her lifestyle choices. Do your research & prepare yourself to change your diet, your sleep regimen & live a different healthier lifestyle then you did before.
I just want to lose 10 pounds
Look at all doctors here dismissing people with true sympathy only to later find out they had cancer. The medical care here in the US is not perfect. Is not the country do your research on the specific physician.
America has crappy insurance. The Red states do not believe in it. Might cost money
So sorry for them.
THE BLONDE IS OVER MEDICATING HERSELF
Why don’t people just eat healthier and move more.. it’s a lot safer and cheaper than getting a sugery. You just need patience and commitment.

Surgical/anasthetic induced psychosis is common, too, but the care for it is better up here. Still, scary and painful as bloody heII.
I had a co-worker that died from sepsis after getting the lap band surgery, this was in the US though. I also had a cousin that went to Mexico to get butt and boop implants and she got very sick, she wasnt expected to make it but she did, miraculously.
I’m a mexican living in Mexico, and have gotten surgery here several times with very good Doctors and at amazing hospitals. Hearing this people say: "There were supposed to be very good Doctors at the Hotel" makes me so mad. WTF! At the HOTEL!!?? And you didn’t find that fishy??? Really you shouldn’t say medical care in MEXICO is like that. The company that SCAMMED you did that and the CRIMINALS who pretended to be qualified Doctors did that. That has nothing to do with MEXICO and our qualified Doctors.
these ppl should have just lost it the rite way being over 100lbs not even that big
I had surgery here in tx and I went from 279 to 100 and found out my bowl was licking in me not I’m about 140
You can get botched in America stop focusing on Mexico.
Discipline. If you don’t discover the discipline and vitamin deficiencies before the surgery, it’s not happening afterwards.
I’ll never understand why weight loss surgery 99.9% isn’t covered by insurance and considered cosmetic or not essential but the laundry list of medical problems and life threatening complications due to obesity are covered by insurance without question…
Hmmm…we all know why! Treat obesity and loose the $$ from the medical problems that come with obesity! Smh. Sickening!
Ladies and Gentlemen, you need to change your diet to a good healthy whole food plant based diet (a little lean meat is fine), and exercise!! Too many people are looking for short cuts to good health. It takes work and patience, but it’s worth it!!
These botched surgeries could have happened here in the US. Adding insult to injury, if you have the procedures done here in US, you would be paying hefty price, in debt and could be very well ended up like these peoples who had their surgery outside the US.
Doctors in the USA are not that great either these dumbasses could not figure out why I was having fatigue and high anxiety for years. Turns out I had an egg allergy and was lactose intolerant. Guess who diagnosed and fixed the problem—ME. So these doctors aren’t all that are cracked up to be.
At least watch 2 seasons of my 600 lb life. The aftercare is detailed.
I only agree with gastric surgeries for life saving reasons. The rest of y’all need to address your nutrition and mental issues contributing to your inability to lose weight. Fasting and many other things need to be considered before permanently altering your body for life. You can heal yourself via your gut. Why would you hamper that with bypass?
So their insurance companies wouldn’t cover them for the surgeries but when I was on Medicaid I received a letter stating “great news Ur insurance now covers gender reassignment surgery” as if that is a real thing. It’s basically self mutilation and make their private parts completely dysfunction To cover it with a cosmetic completely dysfunctional and fake genitalia “. Yeah. That makes sense. Don’t help these people who really need the help for their health and quality of life and just go all woke about it even in the medical world. To the point they had to go to these half witted chop shops in Mexico that nearly kills them. Insurance a-holes. Nobody cares.
Why can’t people just exercise little by little & eat healthier? Gastric bypass surgery sounds horrible.
Why does Kelly not look horrified but entertained
If you could not afford surgery here then you should not have gone..my opinion
A lot of success stories too.
I somehow dont feel sorry for these people
Travel.rather to South Africa, you pay in rands, big savings ,most offer hotel stay etc and care and top quality work.
It’s a complex surgery in general could happen anywhere
This clip encourages me to exercise and eat healthier. Bless them all for their struggles
If you have any surgery, duh….of course there will be aftercare.
I watched this video up until 1:20 and although this is 100% possible! It can happen anywhere not just mexico. It can happen here in the states as well. I got my gastric sleeve surgery done in Tijuana, Mexico and I can tell you I would do it again if I had to do it all over again! I had amazing results but I did my research and I made sure I was going somewhere legit. I also knew 2 other people personally that went to
The same doctor. Shout out to dr Gonzalez!!!
I’m from Mexico, so sorry these people had such terrible experiences, but they didn’t do their homework. There are very good clinics & doctors in MX, but you have to know which ones.
I hate how she says “recommended by a Mexican doctor” as if race has a role as to why the had the bad experience. It’s MALPRACTICE. And it has absolutely nothing to do with the color of your skin or the county you’re in. May the lord be with these three people. But PLEASE do NOT blame the country or the Race.
