Oregon Jasper and Calcite Crystals
Oregon Jasper and Calcite Crystals
We found a boulder with green and maroon jasper! After chiseling some jasper free we ran into a calcite pocket. It was really fun to extract these crystals.
You can call it prospecting, rock hunting, rockhounding, stone collecting and more. It is all about the great outdoors and getting outside. That is why rockhounding in the Pacific Northwest is a passion of mine. Oregon is my location of choice. My quest is to find and craft. There is something awesome about hunting stones and crafting with them. The newly discovered material offers unique beauty. Oregon has many minerals to collect including agates, jasper, sagenite, crystals, quartz, opal, petrified wood, and more. These semi-precious stones are great material to use for art projects, jewelry, and other crafts. It is time to hound some rocks, cut them open and make some crafts.

Hey, I know that guy! Dannnnnggggg that’s some sweet, sweet jasper!
Wow great finds. Good colors
@10:12 best part of the vid lol!!
Glad to see the. protective guards on the chisels. My left thumb often reminds me of all the times I missed the chisel and whacked my thumb. Not fun. Nice video. A good example of jasper formation within rhyolite flow.
Looking forward to see what you make out of that beautiful Jasper – Great find
Very cool extractions. Some of the rhyolite looked amygdaloidal in some of the shots and looked pretty neat. The green and red jasper finds were outstanding. What a great find. Glad I subscribed 😉
Oh cool stuff. Congrats on the cool material.
Very cool video, but hearing the same 6 notes on repeat for 15 mins gets a little tiresome. Would love to find something like this myself!
