Is there a difference between normal amethyst and chevron amethyst?

I love Amethyst, but I do have two issues with it. If I have several pieces of it I feel compelled to give it away to people I know or meet who I feel are struggling. This is the only crystal I want to do this with. Also, I like having it next to my bed, but it has to be a small piece…a cluster or a larger piece my dreams are insane!! Lol….not nightmares….just very bizarre, vivid, and strange. Remove the amethyst they calm waaaaay down. Anyone else have these experiences?
hey its might sound a little bit stupid but I love to wear crystal as a necklace and every time I take a shower I am showering with my water friendly crystal does this progress cleanse them and my other question is is incense charging crystal

For some reason I often connect better with the weirder more obscure crystals first. It took me a while before I could connect with amethyst. Now that I have, I love it. I love the peace and contentment feeling.
Right now one of my favorite third eye and crown chakra crystals is herderite. It feels very strange. It makes me feel much more focused and I think it gives allot of joy and psychic protection.

I absolutely love my amethysts, I have them on my tarot table and I can tell when they need to be cleansed because the energy feels different. I also like to put a small piece under my pillow (along with selenite) and like you said, it helps me remember my dreams the next day – also helps me sleep. I feel that when I am angry at something, holding my big chuncky amethyst cluster makes me lose to need to say unecessary harsh words…. I feel this with sodalite as well. By the way, I finally got myself a moldavite and I feel moldavite is the opposite of amethyst and they cannot be paired together, I wonder if you feel that as well.
Amethyst has a deep calming feeling to me. I love wearing it because it keeps me in a good headspace. Definitely my fave crystal!
