Smoky Quartz is one of the premier grounding stones. I’ve felt an attraction between it since the moment I received it. Not only does it help with balancing my emotions but it actually wards off negative energy, acting like a shield protecting me.     I have a crystal that I picked up in Switzerland but I am not sure what crystal it is. It seems like smoky quartz. Over the past years, it turns yellow around the edges of the crystal. I took a picture of my crystal, hope the crystal experts can give some advice to a crystal newbie: @t

    I walked past a basket of smokey crystal, and a piece more or less screamed "buy me, buy me".
    I like all crystals but this one again has a special place to me. I love the black transparent shine.
    I have two points that are both a hand full. But now I want a big point like yours, or even bigger.
    I hold the points when I feel stressed and it does calm me down and I feel better.
