How to cut Bumble Bee Jasper

Today we are going to cut and Polish Bumble Bee Jasper. This stone is banded most times with red, black yellow and orange color. The black coloring is from Pyrite and the yellow is from sulfur. Mined out of Volcanoes in Indonesia. The stone can have a hardness of 7 on the molhs scale. It also includes arsenic. Best not to be worn on skin and wash hands after touching.

    Dan, thanks for the informative video on the Bumble Bee Jasper. Hope you’ve been doing well, its been a while since you’ve posted any new videos. You do a great job showing us your techniques to polish the stone. I’m like a lot of others, using tumblers, tile saw and dremels to finish up stones. Would a clear lacquer coating help protect from the arsenic transmission?
