The dials (wow!) The movement! The case and strap! I am just waiting for a sapphire example in the right model at the right price.

  2. beBackLater on October 18, 2021 at 9:09 am

How much would this typically cost (for installation)?

  3. dustinr16 on October 18, 2021 at 9:10 am

You had me sold if I scratch up the hardlex on my SRPB77 until you said $100 with no AR coating. Looks terrible with no AR coating and the upgrade is basically half the price of the watch. No scratches on any of my hardlex crystals yet (knock on wood).

  4. Ace Sachdev on October 18, 2021 at 9:13 am

I bought this crystal from you for my Presage, but no one seems to know how to change it. Any tips?

  5. Brandon Skates on October 18, 2021 at 9:15 am

Hey Mark, will replacing the crystal (SARY085) hurt the value of the watch?

  6. Ahmet ozdemir on October 18, 2021 at 9:15 am

Where can i buy it ?i need one please say me where

  7. wincrasher2007 on October 18, 2021 at 9:15 am

sounds like alot of cost and trouble. Maybe if you were forced to replace the hardlex crystal due to a mishap it might be worth it. Otherwise, I find hardlex plenty durable – especially on a dress watch that normally resides under the protection of a shirt sleeve.

  8. Lil Kev on October 18, 2021 at 9:16 am

Omg, i bought the cocktail from ur site as my first automatic watch, beat the hell out of it. Thank you!!!

  9. Juan de la Cosa on October 18, 2021 at 9:20 am

Great idea! Any chance that you might offer this with clear AR coating in the future? I would like to see more dial and less reflection.

  10. RavenWindrunner on October 18, 2021 at 9:20 am

Dang, I’d love to do a crystal swap on mine, but 100 for a crystal would be a struggle for me. The nick on mine does bother me, but not that much yet. Maybe one day.

  11. Diederik on October 18, 2021 at 9:20 am

Very nice. I just got my cocktail time and I love it. Whenever the hardlex gets scratched in the future, I’ll be upgrading to this.

  12. Ed Cain on October 18, 2021 at 9:23 am

Have Had A Hardlex on My Blue dial Solar for 19 months,No Scratches & I Wear It Daily

  13. mellusse on October 18, 2021 at 9:26 am

Are you shipping in EU italy?

  14. Patrick MacLeod on October 18, 2021 at 9:27 am

Nice. Any chance of producing them for the 34mm women’s cocktail time? My girlfriend has one of those. Also, how about the new 38mm ones? I’m looking to get one of those.

  15. Kiba Blood on October 18, 2021 at 9:27 am

I don’t know how to say this but ill say it anyways:
Your videos make me happy, surreal and enjoy the details of a timepiece.

  16. Ecastor on October 18, 2021 at 9:28 am

Just one question: does this fit with the Orient Bambino serries or small seconds as well? Thank you

  17. Clarence Lee on October 18, 2021 at 9:29 am

If it’s glued then how is the water resistance? I have to Seiko 5 fathoms watch and the hardlex scratched and was looking to replace and hoped to have at least a decent water resistance. Is this the correct crystal? Or is it a different type?

  18. Farhan on October 18, 2021 at 9:29 am

    yay my watch!!

  19. raymond chin on October 18, 2021 at 9:30 am

Where can I buy the sapphire crystal glass?

  20. The Guardian on October 18, 2021 at 9:30 am

    FINALLY! Thanks Mark!

  21. The Guardian on October 18, 2021 at 9:31 am

I hope you sell these watches with the Sapphire installed already.

  22. Jesse Price on October 18, 2021 at 9:32 am

Will a watch crystal lift work? I’ve only seen you use a press. If so, can you do a watch and learn about it?

  23. Pato Hernandez on October 18, 2021 at 9:36 am

Finally! I’ve been looking for a sapphire replacement for my SRPB77 and $100 is not bad at all. I’ll be sure to grab one soon

  24. Hershey Squirt on October 18, 2021 at 9:39 am

Would you say this smudges less than the OEM? OEM smudges like a mofo

  25. Prof. George C. Grasser on October 18, 2021 at 9:40 am

How about stop being an Alpha Male Bear and stop abusing your watches? I have 15-20-year-old pieces that look like they just came out of the showcase.

  26. Pierrick Pk on October 18, 2021 at 9:41 am

I just received mine here in France. The crystal fits perfect on my ssa345j1 "expresso martini". My watch is brand new now ! Thank you !

  27. James Midgett on October 18, 2021 at 9:42 am

Looks like you just got the Cocktail time put on my Christmas list with that upgrade! Thanks, Mark!

  28. bagus prihastio on October 18, 2021 at 9:44 am

    Wow…finally! I really need this…

  29. Adam on October 18, 2021 at 9:45 am

Any chance this fits the SARB065 as well? Would love a sapphire crystal for mine.

  30. VMan Ukraina on October 18, 2021 at 9:46 am

    Hi Mark,

I noticed by Seiko, SPRD-41, has a plastic retaining ring / movement holder instead of a metal.
Will this affect the longevity / long term performance?

    Thank you.

  31. ye yint moe on October 18, 2021 at 9:47 am

@Mark , may I know the diameter of the crystal for seiko presage ? Looking to purchase one from you

  32. Paddy Mc on October 18, 2021 at 9:47 am

Damn I really wanted an AntiReflective Dome Crystal for mine like the one on the Baby Grand.

  33. Pedro Molina on October 18, 2021 at 9:47 am

Is it possible to swap out the crystal to a more flatter crystal? Not a fan of the box crystal look as it is high. I suppose it may be that way due to the height of the hands stacking up and the needed clearance…

  34. Sarsi Emanuel on October 18, 2021 at 9:48 am

Will this fit on the original cocktail SARB065?

  35. dji manufacture on October 18, 2021 at 9:49 am

Can I just stick a phone screen scratch resistant layer?

  36. Robert S. on October 18, 2021 at 9:50 am

Interesting question whether it makes sense to spend $100 for the sapphire crystal and $50 for the labor to upgrade a $350 watch, if the original hardlex crystal hasn’t been scratched yet, particularly when there’s no AR coating to change the optics in any way. Maybe the play is to purchase the upgrade crystal as a backup for when ugly scratches do occur. But maybe that’s obsessive. Hmmm.

  37. Miguel Hernandez on October 18, 2021 at 9:50 am

Will this fit the original cocktail time sarb065?

  38. Kamil Malak on October 18, 2021 at 9:50 am

Hello, does the same crystal apply for the open heart series? i got a seiko SSA405J1 and i dont know if it will fit. Also do you ship to Poland?

  39. TBD on October 18, 2021 at 9:50 am

I was just wondering about when this was going to come out and was looking for it yesterday, as the only thing holding me back from getting the SRPD37 was that hardlex crystal. Great to hear that it’s finally out.

  40. Un_tío Normal on October 18, 2021 at 9:50 am

This is exactly what i’m looking for since I bougth the watch past July.
I’m from Spain. Can I buy it?
    Thanks for your videos

  41. Strap a Watch on October 18, 2021 at 9:52 am

    Thanks for the info Marc!

  42. Liam Brown on October 18, 2021 at 9:52 am

Don’t know why Seiko didn’t just do this in the first place. Nobody wants hardlex on a watch like that!

  43. M on October 18, 2021 at 9:55 am

How much does it cost to get it done at a shop?

  44. Rivaldo Riyanto on October 18, 2021 at 9:57 am

Thanks, now i know the difference between boxed and domed. Now i have more respect for boxed crystals

  45. Dan Treview on October 18, 2021 at 10:01 am

Seiko needs to dump the > 40mm game on these and go to 36mm – 38mm. I had the SRPB46 and it was huge. Sapphire is great but it doesn’t make the watch wear any smaller

  46. durbarmarg on October 18, 2021 at 10:03 am

Awesome. Will the new sapphire crystal fit the original SARB065 cocktail? Would love to upgrade mine.

  47. Arnaud Bader on October 18, 2021 at 10:04 am

Did anyone already have this crystal installed on his Seiko? and if yes, what are the impressions (reflection/waterproof/etc)?
    Feedback would be welcome 🙂

  48. MsTalons on October 18, 2021 at 10:04 am

Mark what’s the dimension of the dial on these presages?
    Thanks

  49. Jean-Marc C. Anderegg on October 18, 2021 at 10:06 am

I might be subjective by the excellence of your allover performance, but this sapphire glass makes look the watch a more prestigious item (in addition to the technical advantage and quality of sapphire).
