Thx for this cause while leaving summer school I found a stone/crystal and didn’t know what kind it was but now.I know I have a Black onyx
Im found real black stone how can i use
I found a really cool black rock on a beach that I’ve never seen before – I think it’s either obsidian or mica, but I can’t determine which. It has two corners on it that seem to have those circles like when you throw a stone on a pond, but there are other edges that haven’t done that, so super confusing.
❤❤❤
This was SUPER helpful, I have a few black stones i found and they all look so alike..the scratch with a piece of quartz though was the answer i needed..thanks
Damn! Just realised I used to come across obsidian very often in the place where I grew up.
Hi, does the obsidian leave any streaks? I can’t seem to find any information regarding the streak. thanks.
Awesome video mate, thanks a bunch
Hi, I bought some black onyx stones and apache tears but wasn’t sure if they are right, would you be able to help me identify them? Thanks!
Random question, but is all obsidian transparent and are there any tests you can do to tell if a piece if actually obsidian or man made glass? Thanks so much for such an informative video!
I scratched one of my gold obsidian pieces to see if their authentic and it was like dusty almost in a ashy form and now I’m sad I don’t know if it’s real or not or how to test it if it’s real and I’m sad because the piece was worth 200 dollars:(
Do you have email I have a chess board that needs identification if you can
The explanations of how to quickly identify these 3 black stones was the simplest & easiest I have ever heard! I certainly look forward to watching many more of his videos!
Thank you!
What about basalt? I have a large chunk of smooth basalt and I was told it is also obsidian, is that true?
Adorable parakeet! We had one for 11 years. He was smarter than most people I know and he also loved stones. LOL. I discovered different pellets for birds after he passed which is sad as if I could’ve gotten him to eat them he’d have lived 2 times longer. We only found one brand and he hated it, though. Random but yeah.
Thanks I thought I found obsidian but it turned out to be onyx but hey I’ll add it to my colloection
Thank you its very useful video
I put my obsidian rock infront of the cellphone light and there are small black balls inside the obsidian, does anyone know what these could be?
Naic
Thank you this really helps, I was going to purchase some "black tourmaline obelisk" but they just looked too perfect to be black tourmaline.
i’m trying to figure out if i have tumbled obsidian or onyx, will quartz scratch black onyx AND obsidian, or just obsidian?
Thanks !!! This was super helpful <3
Thank you for the video! I have a black tourmaline that is really soft and I can break it in two, is it a fake one?
I can’t see through any of the obsidian I own. hmmmmm…?
What is the difference between black onyx vs black agate?
