We are back with another episode of Feng Shui basic guides- today is all about the bedroom. When you have good chi in the bedroom, it brings happiness and positivity into everything that you do. Feng shui success in the bedroom starts with the correct bed placement, then takes into consideration balance, symmetry, and harmony. Whatever you do, avoid my top 12 taboos at all costs to bring good chi into the bedroom.
Feng Shui is all about energy and the art of spatial alignment. It illustrates how everything within your domain has its own intrinsic energy that can be auspicious and beneficial, but may also be harmful energy that can affect your spirit and well-being. My goal from this series is to help you become more mindful of your home and show you how to create beautiful spaces that are functional, inspired, and most importantly, make you feel good!

that is really help. I guess most of the people is having problem with the position of the ceiling fan. Would fan with non-pointy blade helps?
I’m a huge believer in FengShui. Thanks for posting your lovely video. I’ve shared this video on my FB.
Thank you for this video! I watch from time to time. Do you have a kitchen fen shui video?
My son hang a Luminas skeleton in his room, what is the effect? :p
Loved this comprehensive video containing bedroom Feng Shui tips for beginners and advanced beginners! Explanations behind the Feng Shui principles for a majority of the tips were provided. Even so, I’d like to share a bit more information associated with mirrors and water related art in the bedroom. Mirrors correspond with the water element in Feng Shui. It’s important not to place mirrors or art reflecting bodies of water above the bed because it’s symbolic of being unable to get one’s head above water, particularly as it relates to finances. Possible Result: Drowning in debt! As for a night stand or a chest of drawers with sharp edges aimed at the bed, one "cure" would be to place a piece of cloth such as a table runner- -a wide one to actually cover the points, if possible- -on top of the offending item to symbolically remove its sharp points, thereby eliminating the cutting energy it produces.
The head of my bed needs to be in the east direction, which is the same wall as my entry door is on. I also have sliding glass doors on the west end of my room, where the foot of my bed faces. These are traditional anishinaabe (Ojibwe) teachings. And NO MIRRORS in my bedroom? Naw… that can’t happen other. The rest, I can work with. Thanks for sharing.
Wtf it gets HOT in my room. Doesn’t heat stroke kill chi?
can you show examples with small bedrooms please? 🙂
YES PLEASE! It’s so nice to learn from you ☺️
Thanks
Thanks
In my house, shoes on a foot race
In this house, we got feng shui
Get the door to blow you away
Flamethrower, you’re a switchblade
Small, rectangular, narrow room where the door is on the short side facing a 1 window please. Around 6 to 7 meter squared of area?
Julie, again Thank you for your Feng Shui info. I didn’t realize how important this philosophy is till now. Can you recommend a good book to learn more about the basics you’ve shared.
I have a dilemma in our bedroom. Our bed is in 1 of the 2 command positions but *1 faces the opposite wall where our ensuite bathroom is. And you guessed it the toilet is opposite where our headboard faces so it’s draining my Chi (still not clear on that meaning, but doesn’t sound like a good thing, right?)
if I move the bed to the *2nd command position I’m under the window (which I can combat with curtains) but face the dresser mirror which is attached to the wall, so I have active Yang bouncing off. Question: which of the 2 command positions would be best, facing the toilet or facing the mirror?
Can I block the wall where the toilet is with something (art, furniture, etc.) to prevent losing Chi? Or better yet can I put something behind the toilet wall to bounce or block that negativity?
If you read this and have a suggestion let me know! Appreciate your time and love your Feng Shui info!
Inherited large piece of furniture should remove all the big pieces or rearrange
This video is soooo helpful! Is there a way to address a ceiling fan that you can’t move like one in an apartment?
I would love to hear more about Feng Shui in all rooms! Great information! I didn’t want the video to end.
Feng Shui has fascinated me for years, though I did not have the knowledge of the how and why of it until your video. Several things in my bedroom need to be rethought. I thank you for caring about my day and my energy and my happiness.
Ceiling fans. We live in a hot country so we all have them. What can we do about that
That was a lot of Nos and yet somehow I think I’ve got almost all the problems she covered. Might be helpful if she showed one bedroom that got everything right.
Girl, your clothes, style, hair and everything are so cute!
I love Feng Shui so keep it coming room by room.
Unbelievable. If you feel you’re not an expert you can always invite someone who is or enterview him/her. Biggest thank you!
You only ever show rooms with the door close to a corner of the room. What about a door in the middle of a wall?
I changed the way I place my bed by watching your video but still not sure if the way I placed my bed is okay? The foot of the bed was facing the entrance to the bedroom, now I put the head of the bed facing west (has a head board) and the entry door to bedroom is on the right side of the bed. Please advise. Thank you
All my rooms have full wall floor to ceiling mirrored wardrobe doors. Any solution?
Beautiful lady
Amazing room
Hi julie. Iam extremelly. Confused i have read, and seeing soo many diferent s way of placing the bed. And none of the times are acording to each others ideas. So please what really is the best way to place the Bed?
I can’t have the toilet’s negative energy filling my positivity cave
Please help…My entire rooms is a “dead man’s” nightmare.
I have a small bedroom and due to the design I can only place my bed with my headboard facing either East or West. The room is 11ft long in this direction.
If I put the bed with the headboard on the east wall, I will be looking at/out the bedroom door when I sleep on my side. I can’t sleep on my back due to health issues. (The door is not on the same wall as the bed, I am just looking at it.)
The room is way too narrow to place the bed in the South/North position. (“Command Position”) The room is 7ft wide this direction.
The ceiling fan is on my feet no matter where the bed is placed. The only thing going for me on the fan is that the fan pieces are rounded on the ends. Less poison arrows…
Please can you tell me which dead man position is the least worrisome? I am thinking of keeping my bed/head on the East wall and just face the door on the North wall. I just don’t know what to do since facing the door is bad, but also sleeping with your head facing towards the West is bad.
I have serious health issues and would love to just have restful sleep. I just need some guidance and there is NO information available anywhere.
Thank you so much for your time and assistance.
Hi to ol my ist time here
informative
i dont like tv’s in bedroom, i feel it takes away good chi for sure
sorry not going to remove the mirror that is mounted on the dresser and no ceiling fan in Texas?! I’m out
Thank you for providing excellent visual examples of your key concepts. They were extremely helpful. This video was beautifully presented. Were some of the pictures from a portfolio of your work? It would be a nice touch to put your logo at the bottom of your design photos.
I would love to incorporate this in a spa we are opening
Fengshui comes with logical reasons, and over time when the reason got lost, it become this “energy” thing. Mirror should not be placed next to the bed because you’ll scare yourself when you get up in the night for bathroom, makes sense right? Nothing to with qi/energy.
Energy is really manifested by our own mind, no amount of external factors could out weight the mind.
Hi Julie, I studied getting into Feng Shui several years and brought books and researched as much as I could but in latter years due to ill health, haven’t been as structured as I would’ve liked but, loved watching this amongst many of your videos. Can you please explain when you were talking on the topic of symmetry approximately 6.27 minutes, some of the bedside tables had sharp corners hence, leads me to the topic of, The poison arrow! At approximately 14.45 minutes which, in fact contradicted the because you said, it’s better to place rounded bedside tables and again being about, the sharp edges! How does one soften the sharp edges of for example: sharp edged bedside tables? I’d really appreciate you expert opinion very much! Thanks Julie for another great video, deeply appreciated.
