We’d love to hear from you – say hello down below!
6:12 sounds like the spell from that 70’s episode of charmed lol
Favourite holiday food is carrot pudding. Like old school British pudding steamed in a pudding bowl for hours on the stove with rum sauce over it. I only eat it once a year so the anticipation is real.
Homemade pecan pie .. with pecans from my tree
The guided journal "Throw It Away" by Guru Notebooks is great for this. It’s on amazon.
Great video! I spent a chunk of my day off today cleaning up my messes in the garage, carport, and my vehicle. I’ve been getting limited hours this month and I want to take advantage of it, especially with these earlier winter sunsets.
1. It’s not my house (but fortunately it’s family and not a landlord situation) and I shouldn’t have had things messy in the first place 2. I kept having issues knowing where my tools are/missing sockets.
My goal is to have everything cleaned up, rebound from my hoarding habits, and have most of my tools all in my roll-around. I plan on living out of my car for a period of time, so I need to work on downsizing and making it to where it’ll be easy as pie to load all my stuff up into my vehicle when the time comes.
Strangely enough I love New Year’s Day blackeyed peas and cornbread with pork. It’s supposed to bring good luck. I’m not superstitious but I love this food carbs and all. Interesting fact. A pig can’t look back.
Take pics of the art and kid creative projects and crafts. Takes lots of photos. Start an album down the road.
I need this not for myself but for my dad who is a BIG hoarder. He still has things from 10 years ago to when he was still a college student.
We’re currently moving houses now and my mom and I are seeing this as an opportunity to easily let go some of things!!
I just hope everything will go well haha! But for some things, we put them on for rent at http://www.mygaragerentals.com It’s our go-to place because it’s free to rent and has no listing capacity.
Will send this to my mom! Cant wait to start the purge.
If this year has taught us anything, it is that the future is uncertain.
Thank you so much for sharing this video
Beautiful hair
And my bedroom too
I started decluttering yesterday, I have gotten rid of at least 7 garbage bags full of stuff and i am nowhere near done! I started in my daughters room and just ran thru the entire upstairs. I cant wait to start downstairs. It feels amazing and my house feels lighter!
Thx for the tip on where to take electronics!
These are great tips!
I regret minimizing. I threw away some cherishable pieces that I will never be able to replace.
Nice vlog! Joan Bates
Christmas Eve my Dad would do the seven fishes, Italian. My Mom would make Goose or Duck for Christmas, she is Hungarian. Joan Bates
what do we do if we live in two homes?
i work with seniors. We have a declutter club to help seniors let go with no judgment. There are lots of seniors who feel guilty decluttering. They have such sentimentality and devalue the ease of life living in a decluttered space. Lots of psychological attachment for senior citizens.
I just did 2 kitchen cabinet and got rid of two full grocery bags of stuff!!!
Dressing
I am working on bedding and pajamas. What does one do with these that are too used to be donated? Sheets, pillow cases, pajamas.
Jesus Loves you!
You are so right about these boxes to put things away in. I joyously found these red totes with green lids, and it perfectly lets me know what totes in my garage are Christmas gear. I don’t have very much, but the lights, the way I store them to keep them from getting tangled does take a little space.
Matza brei for brunch with my family <3
Iv got an older home (1885) and there’s not much in the way of storage options. Any recommendations for finding a place for everything when storage is lacking??? Thanks for the helpful videos.
I took the best artworks of the kids to a crafts store and let them bind into a book.
You are very smart and beautiful…thanks for all your insight! All these things, are really just things, spend quality time with your family. Think twice before your purchase… all the little stuff, I also box up, and if I don’t miss it after six months it goes away. It’s all about less stuff to dust…ha ha ha!
Throw away one item every day and post one item for sale.
Every time you buy something throw away or sale two items.
Do not over do it. Don’t throw away stuff that can be used at some point.
Hi love Jewish foods too pastrami etc also turkey with all trimmings cranberry sauce etc
lasagna home made Ravolis this year I’m going to make lasagna. My husband favorite.
for NY prime rib roast with all that goes with it yum Going to watch Christmas Rockette Show on utube great really uplifting
And very continuously entertaining since no more family reunions this past year.
I sometimes sell some things I have why not make extra cash on it!
When I started clearing my home clutter, I became so aware that in developed nations where abundance is common, that our society promotes frivolty and fanciness because it is all about consumerism and companies making profits, thus consumers are bombarded with ads everywhere thereby brainwashed into believing we need ‘this, that, and the other’. I just donated alot of shoes to a thrift shop because all I really need are the basics–a good pair of hiking sneakers, winter boots, and a pair of light loafers. I wish I were more enlightened & practical about such matters when I was a youngster.
What are these lights?!
The biggest tip as a mother of 4 children. It is always best to go through your children’s things with them present, It helps them to let go and have freedom with the choices they make. Great Lrssons

Excellent Video! Apologies for the intrusion, I would love your opinion. Have you thought about – Mahorrla Control Clutter Method (google it)? It is an awesome exclusive guide for decluttering your home minus the hard work. Ive heard some unbelievable things about it and my old buddy Taylor got amazing success with it.
It’s ridiculous how beautiful you are!
In the US, Goodwill accepts textile items that are no longer useful for their original purpose. Clothing, linens, etc are accepted and turned over to companies that recycle textiles. It’s sold to the recyclers by the pound, which still provides some cash back to Goodwill’s charity work, and it still keeps these things out of landfills.
Stuffing and gravy
Love your outlook, with kid toys though, I want to add that my son was hardcore about lightening McQueen. He got worn out from it for 6 months to a year (we saw it as over it) then he was hardcore and revamped about it again and I was glad I didn’t declutter that stuff like I wanted to. So I think if there’s anything they really loved might want to hang on longer than you’d like because they might come back to it lol And I feel that way about the hobbies I have that I do go back to the same things years later. I like your toy exchange deal for that. I am totally with you on junk toys
My biggest issue is my kitchen , living room and my sons room he has alot alot of toys.
A friend of mine had a couple of totes for her kids toys and the toys that the kids didn’t play with for a while got put in the totes and put in the back of closet. After about a month she will pull the tote back out and the kids thought they had brand new toys again since they hadn’t seen them in a while. She would watch and see which toys the kids liked to play with and which ones they didn’t. She would then put the toys that weren’t played with in a box to donate or sell at a garage sale or take to a kid’s reconsignment shop. She actually saved a lot of money on toys doing it this way and the kids had less clutter in their rooms when only half of the toys were out at a time, hope this helps some folks.
This also works with dog toys.
