    Why is this relevant now? Pluto and neptune are no where near each other now. When will this next conjunction happen?

    Helena Blavatsky’s books became widely read, which arguably became the basis eventually for what we now think of as the New Age movement, and the impetus for reviving popular astrology.

    For Americans, at least, one important invention that came out around that time was the bicycle. It apparently was of extreme importance to women, perhaps because women could not afford horses and if they could afford one they had to get a carriage as well, because it was not socially acceptable for women to wear trousers in order to sit securely on top of a horse. A five mile walk to a local job could be accomplished in a few minutes, for example. Susan B. Anthony, one of the founding mothers of the American suffrage movement, admitted that the invention of the bicycle had created more change in the lives of average American women than all the work she and the women’s rights movement had done so far.

    The most important feature of the 1890s might have well been the Spanish American War in which the USA stole Puerto Rico, Cuba and the Philippines (and Guam?)

    Humans will cease to exist unless we cooperate with each other on a global scale because resources are finite. These happenings signal the true age of Aquarius. We are in a transitional stage at the moment between Pisces and Aquarius.

    This answers some questions for me. I had been noticing a lot of correlation in societal mindset to that period. However current politics are mirroring Roosevelt/Wilson era
