I live off grid in southern Apache county, Our 40 acers is full of beautiful shiny jasper, we also have petrified wood and some very bright black stones, these stones shimmer just sitting on the ground, in fact I am blown away by the colors around here.

Howdy, I have recently started rockhounding and have found some small pieces of banded jasper while looking for agates @ Brown Springs. I really love the way they look after tumbling. I also live in the Sedona area (VOC) and would like to visit this spot for some small pieces to tumble. I was wondering if you would be willing to tell me how to find this half acre.

I love the purse idea! I usually put the strap over my head on the opposite side of your shoulder, that way you dont have to keep pulling the purse strap over your shoulder constantly. I hope I explained that well. I am a woman so we just know these things about purses.

So if you get some of the resin from one of those pines on a chunk, would you call that BIF tannins? 🙂

I hope to explore a BIF in my area some time this summer! It does polish up so nice!
