I’m just imaging the being put under part as when I had my tonsils and adenoids removed or actually the whole surgery cause it hurt and felt like knives when I swallowed chips after the surgery not smart lol
They are also removing my wisdom teeth during the surgery.

I’m on week 9 post op from upper jaw surgery. How long did it take for your swelling to go down? I still feel puffy and my face feels like a sponge when I press it. Is there anything you did to accelerate the process? My face also tingles, what does this mean? When did you get full control over the muscles in your face? Does this mean I’m still swollen? I just feel my face isn’t as defined anymore, like the muscles in my cheeks are loose and mushy

Did u loose weight after surgery?? I’m having corrective lower jaw surgery and I was wondering if I would loose weight. My lower jaw didn’t grow with me. They’ve been planing my surgery for 7 years. I’ve had braces for almost 6 years and I’m almost 16

I almost had to have a type of surgery very similar to yours. due to my severe overbite, the doctor explained to my dad about how my overbite was so bad where they weren’t sure if they’re procedure would work. luckily it did work so i would have had my jaw broken when i was 16. keep in mind i was a 10 year old that was beyond scared of this conversation.

my sophomore yr of high school i was getting braces, but my orthodontist told me i needed jaw surgery but i was waaaay too scared to get it & knew i couldn’t handle the pain. i’ve had jaw problems since i was a little kid, im thinking about getting the surgery now that i’m 18 & not in school. i am so so scared of getting the surgery but i think it’s the best decision to do it, what helped you with the pain besides the meds they give you? & what eases your nerves? ):

This is not a corrective surgery, but every day discomfort and regret! Numbness, spitting when talking, asymmetric jaw, rashes on face skin, and worsening oral intimate!
