Some parts of the matrix from Topaz Mtn Adventures phosphorylate too under shortwave UV. I love my light from Bill at Way Too Cool. I have no affiliation just love walking around my place with his shortwave UV light and discovering all of not only minerals but plants react to shortwave UV light. Wild. Check your Topaz Mtn Adventures haul and hit some with the shortwave and you’ll see what I’m talking about. Though you probably don’t want to expose too much of that Sherri topaz to UV some other mineral in the matrix from their has wild uv properties.

What type of black light do you use? I don’t like fake UV LED light. It’s not true black light as it has a filter glass that chances to purple light, an imitation to true black light fluorescent tubes. With fluorescent black light tubes, the light is invisible, rhe glow is hardly seen but these are still used in disco, dances and parties when all sorts of reflective paing and colors are seen, including your white teeth, but with LED UV torch the light beam is visible as in pinkish beam, hence false black light.

Great examples of fluorescent minerals! I live in an area of the desert in California where rare fluorescent minerals are abundant. Tufa and Hanksite (a salt mineral) are both highly reactive to UV light.
