sadly many of the churches i’ve found are queerphobic, ableist, sexist, classist, etc. it’s hard to find a supportive christian community as an aroace Black woman, and i certainly don’t want to perpetuate and support an entity that criticizes and harms communities in the name of Jesus

The best thing I did for myself this year was earnestly seek a church that prioritizes doing community right. I visited like 10 churches in my area. Almost settled at one but knew in my heart it wasn’t right so after a few months I started the search again and found somewhere that feels like it will be my place. I’m so excited for 2023 because of it.

Lol, I made my 2023 vision board this morning! Never made one before, but one of the first things on there was to get closer to God. I’ve created a daily Bible habit at this point, but looking to go deeper.
I agree. One of the best ways to grow in your spirituality is to be honest with God. When we are honest with God, then God can give us the signs and answers that we seek. He can create the way and opportunities for us to walk through.
