I prefer sapphire but it’s not a dealbreaker for me. I’ve got a Rotary Havana and Rotary Chronospeed which are excellent for the money. They don’t have sapphire but the glass on both is excellent. No scratches so far and clarity is fine.

It is almost a deal breaker for me. I’m very active and I bang my watches all the time. Have a really nice watch that has the smallest of scratches on it and I see it every time I look at it. My other nice watch has a sapphire and I bang it all the time but no scratches. I would only wear my Sapphire watches when I’m it’s going to be active.
