Digging Smokey Quartz/ Quartz crystals

Digging Smokey Quartz/ Quartz crystals

We headed out to a well know dig spot along the Idaho Washington border in search of some quartz and smokey quartz crystals. This spot has been dug up for well over 20 years. It’s known as the solo creek quartz dig site. Join us as we dig our way into the ground and pull out a few shiny minerals.

This turned out to be a really fun day of digging. We will have to go get some more before the white minerals start falling from the sky.

Really good video quality, what are you using? At about 4 mins you are completely under the overburden and you have a tailings pile on your escape side… If that overburden fails, you wont get out of that alive. Try and clear the downhill side of tailings so you arent caught between a slough and a hard place, or at least you have a chance of scooting out. You would be very surprised how much a foot or two of over burden weighs when it comes down on you.
