Digging for topaz, citrine and smokey quartz
We had a spare 3 day weekend, and haven’t been out looking for crystals all year, so it was a good opportunity while the weather was good to try our luck. after a pretty decent drive we managed to get an hour or so of sieving before the sun went down. a couple of small topaz were found. after another quick morning sieve we decided it was time to explore the granite fields in hopes of finding a pocket of smokey quartz or citrine. we found a couple of promising signs and dug a couple of holes but unfortunately didn’t have to much luck. In previous times out there We have found some really nice crystals and with so much terrain to explore i’m sure we’ll be back out for another session soon.
