Hi Peter, thank you for the video. What are your thoughts on the sapphire crystal and gasket from Amazon compared to the oem one that Rolex provides? Is there a difference?

    Hi Peter,
    Hope this finds you well.

I just replaced the glass on a 16013 ,but it sits way to high.
The glass i purchased on ebay.

Where can I get a better glass or if i could make this fit lower?

Is there a way you could give me some direction as to measurements? I sent the model and calibre to a provider in Texas and they swore it was the right crystal but, it wasn’t. How can I measure and order accordingly? It’s a Rolex datejust 34mm ref. 1500 calibre 1570 and the bezel diameter is ~29.2 mm. I believe they sent me a 30mm + gasket! Thanks !

do we need to remove the movement, etc from the watch, or can we replace the crystal with everything in tact?

Hey! I bought one of those high gaskets and sapphire crystals on eBay too , for my OQ thing is those crystals aren’t the same as a Rolex sapphire I sat them side. By side the edges are cut at a better angle on the Rolex. But my thing is those gaskets are huge and expose the plastic gasket past the bezel unless u had like a 7.0g bezel to fill the space in my opinion it looks goofy sitting up so high, I cut mine down seems to be working just fine sits perfect but do you know of any shorter height gaskets for the 36mm oyster quartz oyster case

  17. Job Buddenberg on August 14, 2022 at 10:12 pm

Would that be value adding or taking since its replacing original?

  18. Brandon Fiorito on August 14, 2022 at 10:13 pm

Is it necessary to remove the bezel? Why can’t you just use a crystal press like you normally do for other watches? Thanks
