   I KNEW the first one was gonna be Opalite! I did buy one thinking it was an Opal, it was the first crystal in my collection and I didn’t know much about crystals at all. Great vid btw!

   Great video! Thank you for assuring that that is ok to have synthetic pieces. There is so much stigma against manmade crystals (I’m guilty of being a snob about it myself) but in a way, it does help against overmining. (Now that I think of it, it does take a lot of ingenuity to create these manmade pieces!) The main problem is just people trying to pass them off as natural or raw and overcharging – that’s awesome that your supplier is upfront about what is genuine vs synthetic. I know people are really into aura quartz and opalite – I’m coming around since it IS pretty. 🙂

    Really enjoyed this video! There’s a mine out here in California that has claim to unearth it very striking. Can make my own very intriguing lol my daughter likes a lot of these man made stones shared today. Hate to burst her bubble sometimes but I want her to be aware of manmade stones.
    My question is about peacock agates…. so pretty but not real? I know so many agates are dyed, like new colorful jades, Madagascar? Quartz anyway thank you for this video!

    Goldstone actually is made of copper and quartz! Copper and quartz both have healing properties and are conductors of energy, so goldstone is pretty cool!

    Bismuth is not man-made. It is an element, number 83 on the periodic table. You can melt it and when it cools, it forms the crystals she is discussing. It normally can be found in a white powder form or a silvery lump form. The crystal step form isn’t any different material, so to call it man-made is deceptive. It is completely natural, it’s just that you don’t find the crystalline form normally.

    I really don’t mind manmade crystals. What I do mind is when a seller will deliberately try to sell a "natural" crystal as the full price item. Please everyone, ask questions to your sellers. Ask for the source they get it from, ask if they know the mine or conditions within the mine. Ethical sourcing is SO IMPORTANT!
